Gonna piggyback on this thread since I didn't want to start a new one.
Day 3 with the M2C going from Germany to Switzerland and now France. 600 kms on the odo. Impressions so far? 7/10 on my stupid scale. While I'm still breaking in the car, I've had the chance to drive it regularly on many different conditions over the 3 days. Autobahn at 160km/h, city driving, traffic in Zurich, parking in France etc. The next part will be my brain fart so please bare with me as I'm typing this on my phone after driving 3 countries in a day. DCT is great but not pdk great. Active sound didn't bother me at all and my wife and 4yr old seems to love it. Suspension is composed and comfortable-no complaints at all. Brakes are adequate but not something I'd brag about. Seats are surprisingly comfortable but wish the side squeezer had a bit more hug like the 1M and sat lower. Trunk was barely wide enough for 2 standard size luggage. Power is very linear and definitely quick-I wouldn't be surprised if it was closer to 400whp on a dyno. M1 and M2 button comes in handy. iDrive isn't that great-much prefer the system in my Jeep srt. Body roll is minimal and I haven't had much chance to feel the weight. Fuel consumption is awesome compared to what I've been accustomed to (8L/100kms). Overall a very well built DD. The best thing about it so far has to be the hockenheim silver. Everytime I get out of the car, it's a fucking different color. Nothing quite like it. Couple more stops later will the be v-max and the ring. I'll keep you guys posted.

My trip back from Chicago I was averaging about 25mpg, around town in sport plus I was getting around 20. I was pretty surprised how well it was doing on gas. Is that what people in the s55 M3/M4 get? Also don’t cars generally get a little bit better guess mileage once they are broken in around 10 or 20k miles?

Yes, 25 mpg seems like a more average/normal number. 8l/100km is just I'm currently on 7,2l/100km in my F30 330d (running 308hp & 680Nm), as a reference.
I noticed a decrease in consumption after 10k km indeed. |

After a bit more city driving, traffic and stronger highway pulls, I'm at ~9L/100. Damn gas here is pricey. Just arrived luxemburg. Will have further review/impression tonight before I head to bed.

I think these modern BMW 6 bangers are capable of some amazing fuel economy for their power output, but stick your foot in it a few times and the party is over...or just beginning

When I was coming from a track day last summer with my M4, I had very little gas left in the tank and at the same time didn't wanna make a stop to get gas till I get home. So I decided to set the cruise control to 60mph and drive on the slow lane the whole trip. As soon as I got on the highway, I reset my avg fuel consumption and after 70+miles of highway driving, I averaged 31mpg which is around 7.6l/100km I believe. Btw, the car had 4 track tires, a floor jack, jack stands, bunch of tools and other track equipment in it too. If you stand such a boring drive, these cars can surprise with their fuel economy

Got a bit lost after dinner in Luxemburg city and found a stretch of marvelous twisty mountain roads to give the M2C a go. I'm impressed! Despite all the weight claims, I honestly couldn't feel the weight even with a family of 3 and half our luggage in the car. With what I had in the car, I was able to go about 6/10 and I was hauling ass. The suspension was compliant and confidence inspiring and seems to be perfectly mated with the power of the s55. At no point did I ever feel it needed anymore power. DCT worked like a charm and the fake sounds actually felt genuine to me. It might sound stupid but it had handling characteristics of a 911 during that stretch of road. Thank you Luxemburg.
Zurich didn't allow much opportunity to test the car aside from traffic and city driving. Colmar and Metz gave me a chance to let it loose especially with the rain and the 500+ roundabouts. France in general has sub par roads and the car still felt extremely comfortable. 800kms on the odo now and next stop is the Ring. Hopefully the weather holds up. Any suggestion on what tire pressure I should start with at the Ring?
