It really depends on your build and height. I was 100% in your camp as I think the M2 seats are a joke. I was lining up a used M3 seat purchase and planned on reskinning. Got some seat time in an M4 and found them quite uncomfortable and I messed with positioning quite a bit. Not saying the 235 seats are that much better but as far as long trips--it's not clear cut. Spirited driving obviously anyone would rather have the M seats.

I have driven the m2 quite a bit and I love it (my good friend has one) but from the first time I took it out I felt it needed more power so I'm super excited about the s55 going in it. I couldn't care less about the wheels (I actually like them) the grill I don't really like much but it is in no way a deal breaker. I'm glad the seats have changed. Does the s55 sound like shit, meh not great, not that bad either. Idk why everyone must fight about which is best. One is clearly going to be faster than the other (especially tuned) and people should just get over it. Otherwise they're still both an M2. Oh and those that argue about how they ruined it because of 55kg are hilarious!!!!!!

Bit of hyperbole. Because the M2C cost quite a bit more up front, you won't see M2's drop in value. e.g., if you want a cheaper M2 you need to step back in model years or up in mileage. It's enough of a gap that it will matter in resale. They'll take a hit but it won't be that massive.

You should see it in person first before deciding. I saw them side-by-side at BMWNA and I liked the connected kidney. It looks worse in pics.

I'm only questioning because I'm interested to see why in hell a person with M2 wants to trade, take a huge loss, and get a car that's slightly better. M2 is already a great car. I don't think it's worth it. Different story if you are looking to get into a totally different car like a Porsche or another BMW line.

Idk. Some JO that insisted I was trying to rain on people's M2C deliveries.

The only thing that would sway me is if I start having cooling issues like some other people have as I get faster. I still haven't had any of those issues so the move is highly unlikely.

If heating is an issue on the track, and s55 won't give me the heating issue, I'd get a used F80/82. Real S55(not detuned in the M2C, better interior, higher quality in and out, and cheaper than a brand new M2C.

I remember the days when OG M2 owners used to get a lot of crap from others claiming they don't have a real M car (in fact, they still do unfortunately). It's interesting to see the same shitty attitude from some of them. Way to go guys

Never called it a "fake s55". Rather "detuned" and that's how BMW calls it officially. It is detuned is it not? And where are you getting CS and Gts from? Don't put words on my mouth. S55 debuted in the F80 with more power than M2s55 hence why I'm calling it "real"

Well guess what? It's just as real as the S55 in any M3/M4 including Comp, CS and GTS whether you like it or not! 'Detuned/tuned' and 'real' are completely different things.

Edit: You said M3/M4 has the 'real' S55. What does it imply? It implies that the M2C doesn't have a real S55 and something that is not real is called fake. Anyways, I'm not going to continue arguing the semantics with you. Enjoy your 'real' N55!

It's not an out of production vehicle. No big deal if I'm not the first person to take delivery and I'm still enjoying my M2 anyway.

Well, as I see it's the S55 which makes the M2C a bit more //M than the great OG M2(which I drive and still like a lot) but for hard driving another engine is needed(for me)

N55 sounds nice but I don't like limpmode when driving hard, fellow Dutch member Romo had the same.

S55 is so much more than just the sound compared to N55, hate to say it....

I have an acquintance in the area who drives an M3 CRT, now we're talking!
