Tune off cold start roar and downshift rev match

I bought the veepeak bluetooth scanner and bimmercode app this weekend. Changed a bunch of minor things and happy with the results.

The two biggest items I'd like to fix I can't figure out though.

1) I don't want my car roaring when I start it up in the mornings. It's actually waking up my kids. Does Bimmercode have this capability? If not, what can I buy to code it off?

2) I want auto down shift rev matching turned off even with traction control is engaged. (I never want it on) I believe this is an option in expert mode, not sure how to accomplish.

I have a late model 2020 so I'm definitely the newer software.

Thanks for the input!

1) No, you will need BM3 to code off the cold start.

2) I believe the option you want to toggle for that is "clutch in start". I know the option name is misleading, but that should disable/enable auto rev match for you as well. You'll still need to clutch in to start regardless though I heard.

Late 2020 means BM3 only works after a ECU Bench unlock

Thanks for feedback.

Sounds like cold start isn't possible to turn off (for me) if BM3 is the only option. Not interested in tuning at this point and $600 is too much just to turn off this feature.

For no auto rev match, do you happen to know which control module 'clutch in start' is located? I will go through all the modules again if no one recalls.

Much appreciated!

FEM

3020->TCM_STARTLOCK_BRAKE set to: nicht_aktiv

3020->TCM_STARTLOCK_CLUTCH set to: nicht_aktiv

3020->TCM_STARTLOCK_DRIVINGREADINESS set to: nicht_aktiv

Keep it mind, this disables the "clutch position sensor" so you'll also lose some related features such as anti-stall, hill hold, ect.

About cold start you can ask with a local chiptuner, if there is one in your area, it will not cost much to deactivate this function, I deactivated this function on my m2c

BIG thanks for the tutorial. One more newb question. I already programmed a few things in the FEM. Do I need to return that to original back up settings before adding additional changes or simply set the new changes and upload? (Think it's the later but want to be sure)

Thanks again!
