Spring Is Here! (Almost) :D

With warmer weather here in the NE, I'm going for more weekend drives!

(Just got back home from a nice 2 hour cruise.)

Time to rack up the miles!

Sorry I don't need a cookie or anything, just happy Winter is more or less over, lol.

Same here mid to high 60s all weekend. Usually I would be scrambling to take the bike out, but I seem to keep jumping in the M2C instead. First car I have ever had that has trumped a motorcycle for me!!! Supposed to rain everyday but one next week and unlike the bike I will still get to enjoy the car!

Well, it's probably fine. I keep going back and forth with if I want to go back to my stock summer wheels or not. I really wanted to move to Apex EC-7's and Pilot Sport 4S's, but Apex doesn't have all four in stock in one color. 763's? Great, but I don't want to drive on Sport Cup 2's in Portland. The rain performance just isn't good enough and the quotes I've gotten for bare 763's with 4S's on them has been just stupid expensive (more expensive than buying them with the Cups, dropping the Cups off a cliff and then going and having 4S's put on...).

I have not planned well for Spring. Nope. Not at all.

Man, what a day and what a car! I think I did about 120+ miles of just fun driving today. 60+ weather, S+ back county driving in the straights and twisties, with many opportunities to push this car and shift at redline. What a monster!!! I was out driving with my friend who was driving his 570s and the M2C never felt wanting for power (granted we werent on a track).

The M2C will get you in trouble quickly. It wants to be driven hard, and I cant imagine how some of you daily drive this on your commutes. You must have a lot of tickets (or self-control)! I hit some fairly illegal speeds just in 3rd gear at about 7k rpm.

Overall, after 2 months, I am loving the M2C. What an amazing package, just perfect for me. I cant stop driving! We are lucky to have chosen this car and truly understand what it is.

Be safe guys!

Oh, and I started with almost a full tank of gas, and have 1/6 left. LOL

Yep, it is a great all-around sports coupe. It continually puts a smile on my face everyday even when I think I know all of its little tricks.

And I love the way it looks... it has really grown on me. I initially wasn't a fan of the rear of the M2, but now it is becoming one of my favorite angles. The rear is just so... signature, muscular, M2.

I am planning to get M Performance coilovers this year (maybe KW v3), and can only imagine how nice it will look with a tasteful drop. All the M2s I have seen (which are not that many, fortunately) have been stock height.

Another thing I enjoy about this car is its perfect size. In a country that loves its humongous SUVs, trucks and even big sedans, it is refreshing to just drive something that doesn't scream, "LOOK AT MY MASSIVE TRUCK. I AM HERE TO ANNOUNCE MY PRESENCE!"

I love the looks of the M2C. First BMW that has stuck to me since the M Coupe.

BTW, looking by your location/signature, you weren't in Vegas Chinatown on Monday (or was it Wednesday), were you? I recall seeing a SO M2C there...

I am waiting till the roads clear off from the salt and cinders before my M2C pokes it’s head out of its heated garage. I live on top of a mountain and I will say this years mild winter has the roads looking surprisingly good for March.

Haha, I did almost the same thing - did a 70 mile run, decided.......ehhhh don't want to go home yet......so did another 30 miles. Thanks to the warm weather I was able to roll down the windows and sunroof, and was finally able to hear the burbles while shifting!

Started off with a full tank, now I'm at 1/2! 100 miles on half a tank, lol.

One thing I did notice on my last drive - I did the whole "where's the redline indicator" thing. You really CAN'T see it, especially if you've got sunglasses on.

And with sunglasses off you have to turn your head to barely see it.

Same, it doesn't help that my bike is squished between the wall and the M, so if I want to take the bike out, I have to move the M...

Ive been annoyed because its been fantastic weather through the week (i have to work) but its been raining on the weekends. So going out for a fun spirited drive is just out of the question.

That being said i'm at about 650 miles. For only having the car for about 2 1/2 weeks i'd say i've driven it quite a bit. Trying to get up to that 1000 mark so i can finally let loose. I'm really happy i managed to get this car right before Spring/Summer

Agreed. I'm at about 1700 miles after 10 weeks, and so glad that breakin is behind me in time for Spring
