Hi guys, I currently have a M235 but looking at a M2 comp.

Question is, black or hockenheim silver??

Options are,

1 M2C, 2018, 12000ks, upgraded M performance brakes (silver) with heated seats

2 M2C 2018, 2000ks, standard brakes, no heated seats.

Pricing the same.

Vote now.)

Hi Daniel,

This is what I'm thinking. At first glance, I like the low mileage vehicle. But, I think how that mileage was put on is more important to me. Let's assume the 12,000kms was by the 1st and only owner, and it was not a demo car. Compare that to 3,000kms is a current demo car. I might lean towards 12,000kms. I want to avoid 'demo' and 'executive driven' cars.

In a perfect world, demo drivers or 'executives' look after other people's property, but the reality may not be the same.

After that, my personal preference is a lighter colour over a black car (too hard to keep it clean).

As for the performance brakes... they look great, but they add about 15kgs of unsprung weight (and not sure if this is accurate, but I read that they are more likely to squeal). So unless you plan to track the car, do you need them? Personal preference.

You make a sound argument!! Yes they do add some weight also.

I would also be doing an intake mod, tunring and downpipe so I was thinking the bigger brakes might be more warranted?

Hmm it's my preferred colour, difficult to predict, but I wonder if this colour will be yuk in a few years to come.

You could always get the primer coloured one (HS) and paint it how you like

I was speaking with couple of dealers recently. They said 90% of M2Cs are ordered by customers in the Hockenheim Silver colour (including myself).

Maybe the market will be flooded by the primer colour one day. I'm sure vinyl wrappers will come to the rescue.

Another reason I went with Sunset Orange. The used and new market is flooded with HS cars.
