Looks awesome! Love the black roof, with the dark tints and black trim it looks great.

I dropped off the M2C at the dealer for some CF goodies (pics to come next week). But before I left it, I went ahead and replaced the knee rest with bimmermasterpieces' first extended knee rest made with orange stitching.

I've ordered from them before, and the quality is great. Only thing is, it's hard to capture it in a pic, but the "original yarn color" they used looks slightly lighter in person compared to the factory stitching. The factory stitching just appears more vibrant when looking at it.

Pulled the trunk liner out and started prepping it for the fibreglass sub cabinet, but I ran out of painters tape

Yes. A bit corrugated cardboard. The roof is strangely attractive though.

Acexxon horizontal slat rear reflector inserts!

HATED the stupid clown red reflectors that are required by idiot legislation. I think the black contrasts really nicely with HS.

Big thank you to tom @ eas! Love your shop and awesome service!

Already thinking through in my head how to do more mods and give you more business!

Looks great! I think Black and Blue are the only colors where I like the red reflectors, but that's just me and how much I like Black/Red and Blue/Red (I blame the last one on Superman...though I hate yellow in general) of those two color combinations. At some point, I flat out have to get rid of those stupid amber ones up front.

Oh man - does that bring back memories hahaha.

I was never trained, but taught myself to fibreglass, calculate enclosure volumes, and how to tune sub cabinets... and also learned how best to treat a headache from the fibreglass resin, LOL. Great memories!

Great work. I'd love to see the results!

Haha yup it's been many years since I have done this as well. But thought what the hell, why not add some decent bass to the stereo, will be upgrading the internal speakers as well.

Managed to get the first layer down today.

Very cool! Looks like a great start! I'd love to see this as it progresses. If you were so inclined, a separate build thread would be so awesome! (Hint, hint )

Goddammit. Okay. Here goes...

I originally ordered the Autotecknic Competition Shift Paddles in "stealth black." (See attached.) Had them installed at EAS (along with the reflector inserts, etc.) and as soon as installation was done, I immediately drove off.

What I hadn't realized is that "stealth black" means... plastic! They just felt really cheap. Beyond that, the paddles felt... spongy, for lack of a better word. When you change gears, you should feel a nice "click" when you squeeze down on the paddles. Instead, it just felt like squeezing a... sponge. My hypothesis is that the plastic was just too pliant and didn't really "click" you into gear.

Drove back to EAS, and I really gotta thank tom @ eas and his team so much. They tried it out, agreed that it was an issue, and wanted to replace with the nicer carbon fiber paddles (which would be stiffer and hence provide good "click"), but didn't have any in stock at that moment.

The only ones they did have in stock were the Pedal Haus - Extended Billet DCT Shifter Paddles. In silver.

When I was comparing extended paddles, I did, in fact, LOVE the Pedal Haus paddles, but a) was afraid what my wife would say, and b) figured that if any of you ever caught wind of it, I'd get roasted to no end, so instead went for the more muted and subtle style of the Autotecknics. But, due to fortunate circumstance, I was FORCED to take the paddles that my inner 10 year-old wanted in the first place!

When I got home, my wife laughed and said, "Those things look like Batman's batarangs!"

So, there you have it. I'm Bruce Wayne. A short, Asian, with glasses, Bruce Wayne. But, Bruce Wayne, nonetheless.

I am Batman.

They are pretty cool really. They would be amazing on GreatWhite's bat mobile.

Do these have the requisite firmness for your needs?

They do. They're metal. Squeeze them anywhere from top to bottom of the half arc and you feel a nice tactile "click"as you change gears.

I am going to ignore the double entendre there and pretend you were asking about the paddles themselves in all seriousness.
