Was really looking forward to your opinions on the m2 - M2c ...but it's hard to take you seriously because you're so illogically defensive

Oh well - i'll find out for myself soon enough
Ha, ok here goes and imo

Steering /pointing in is a tad better in M2C
It feels more planted , the M2 felt more alive. But in MDM it's the opposite : you feel the LSD digging into the tarmac without nannies interfering.
Interior:seats are great the just are a tad more sporty and sit better
Dash: I like it a lot but OG pre LCI dash was fine with me

Engine: the thrust from let's say 2500( and in M2 I wasn't ever below 2000rpm to start with when doing spirited driving) is way more than OGM2 .
Irl there is a 100Nm difference between the two and that's feelable like nothing else

Sound : what a pity but not like it's the end of the world and nothing a good exhaust system can solve

Bottom line: when driving OGM2 @ 8-10ths you already get that lively //M feel .
You need to go to 8.5/9 10ths to get that feel in the M2C but when you're there it treats you with even more //M feel than an OG M2 ever will..

All imo and no offence
And I hate typing on my iPhone waiting for the 2000km service as we speak
Cheers

So I've driven 30kms after the break in service and pulled through to 7200 a couple of times but man is it fast. 130mph like it's 100. It pulls and it pulls
Can't say it's faster than before , maybe a tiny bit
But now I can use the whole revrange!

Cheers

Go and test drive a Comp first

The mid range pull difference between the Comp and the OG is much much more than the 0.1s suggested and I am not even talking about the top end or the rev limit

Ure ridiculous. And I'm not even an M2 owner. Sad to read posts like that on an enthusiast forum, let alone an M car forum.

All the other bickering and nonsense aside, THIS is the kind of comparison, info, and opinion that the OP, myself, and several others are looking for.

The .1 difference from 0-60 is from BMW’s statistics. No one is saying that in the upper end the M2C isn’t faster. An M2C will beat an M2 everyday from 0-100 mph.

The question most are talking about is as a daily driver is there much difference.

Both are great cars. And the M2C is the best current production M car available.

The OG M2 is fantastic. The M2C is even better. If you can afford just one of them, you are doing great. Enjoy it!

Yep, thanks I was looking for this image to post. If you think a N55 M2 is nearly as fast as a S55 M2 you're in denial. That's stock for stock. Add a tune to both cars and the gap is hilarious.

It's a tough choice, but I lean more toward Margot Robbie.

No. She’s Australian and carries around a baseball bat. Stay away.

Anyone who cites 0-60 for a RWD ICE car is barking up the wrong tree.

This.

Unless you are going to run (semi) slicks, you simply will not achieve any better 0-60 times with a front-engined RWD car.

For daily driving, a 0-60 time is a useless metric. 5-60 if anything is more telling. Looking at traction limited 0-60 times is not how I judge a good DD.

It's subjective. I've seen them side by side in person and the M2C makes the OG bumper look dated, in my opinion, which many people share and many people do not.

Lol. The bumper is almost identical except the Competition has those random notches cut out of it. How does that make the OG bumper look dated? I honestly want to know. All other things being mostly the same (let's ignore the grill for the sake of this point), how do those notches make the Competition bumper look better?

Bumper actually looks totally different. The only thing you can call similar and but not identical is fangs are still present.

For a start the fangs are narrower and are slanted further horizontally and the bumper centre opening (mouth) is of a different shape and is wider. The bottom of the mouth also has three prominent slats which are not presented in the OG.

The 3 vents are what I'm referring to most as looking bad. But to each their own.
