That's just autotune.
There are several other examples on Youtube that sound very similar to the video that I shared. However, most importantly, if you haven't done so yet, go check out a local ZCP in person. You'll be surprised how good and deep the stock ZCP sounds in person when it's warm. My car has MPE so I'm not saying this to praise what I have. I'm sure the same will be true for the M2C too however based on the videos I have seen so far I don't think it sounds any better than stock M3/M4 ZCP.

Agreed on the tone - I think (and mentioned earlier in the thread) that the M2C sounds slightly higher pitched in the OP's video....
Exactly! However, the higher pitch doesn't translate into "better sound" or "character" for me.

Edit: The high pitch might be because the engine isn't warmed up yet but again I think they sound very similar. I'm sure we'll see some side-by-side comparisons when reviews and initial deliveries start.

Already placed my order, so I'll just have to deal with it.

Nothing to deal with IMO. It'll sound just fine and you'll be able to improve it even with a simple AA midpipe Btw, I already placed my order for an M2C too so we are in the same boat

A deeper tone can be accomplished with a single path midpipe like what AA produces for the M3/M4. It synchronizes the two turbos exhaust. Produces a much deeper note...with the raspy snaps on overrevs.

AA Midpipe(Signature exhaust)

AA Midpipe w/ Remus rear section(aggressive overrev snaps)

NOW I hear what you guys were bitching about; the M2C/M4 exhaust overrun sounds "broken." People from the outside who not familiar with it is going to ask if it's defective..

I remember the first time I heard that "popcorn" sound in the Mini S, everyone thought that there was a leak in the exhaust.

Personally, and maybe I'm alone but I would of preferred the car to be quiet as a stock 330i with that twin-turbo 6, than sounding like it does now..

The AA Midpipe along (even with stock exhaust) makes the S55 in the M3/M4 sound great, so I'm sure it'll do the same for the M2C.

It will definitely be my first mod, assuming they release it for the M2C. Makes the car sound much better, adds 18 WHP and 30 LB-FTs (according to AA's dyno), and must shave 10-15 lbs off the car.

I drove a non-ZCP M3 today - I think the S55 bashing is a tad over blown. It sounded ok... it wasn't even ZCP with the improved exhaust acoustics. I think the S55 non-ZCP is somewhat disappointing if you are right behind the car.

However - I think the M2C will be a great sounding car!

I’m guessing that has to do with soot being deposited within the piping helping take the edge off. I’m planning to experiment with exhaust wrap once I get the car to see if it makes any difference.
Absolutely. I’ve got about 14k on the M3 now and it’s a completely different sound, and in a good way to my ears.

All exhausts take time to wear in and find their mojo. The problem with any video of the M2C is that it will be with a new exhaust and isn't representative of what it will sound like a year from now.
Plus, the M2C, while sharing the same engine architecture as the M3/4, will have a slightly different exhaust architecture (and possibly intermixing midpipe) that might throw a major wrench in the comparison works.

And just turned on - that sound at the top of each rev is only that loud before the engine has warmed up. I never rev above 3k in my F80 until I know the engine has warmed up a bit, because I don’t like that sound.

Much better warm + Sport Plus though....
