I've just ordered a Sunset Orange M2 Comp yesterday and I need to get a small model (I try to do this with all cars). What do I need to do to get my hands on one?!

I was on the pre-order list and even was emailing to ensure I was on the list back in April.

Received no response - how did people get these? Awful communication.

Email Max Lang (mlang@minichamps.de) and ask them to confirm your order and to send you an invoice. I paid back in December but had to follow-up last week to find out when they were shipping my model out.

Max is quick to reply.

Wheels look so good! Prior to delivery, I asked Max if 763m were an option and he said no.

Mine finally arrived!

Detail is really nice. I only wish the doors, hood and trunk opened like on my E46 M3 Kyosho model.

I just got mine today. I'm not sure why we had to give them so many details if they were going to completely ignore the options we gave them.

I opted for 6MT with blue stitching, and I got a DCT with no stitching at all..
Maybe that was discussed somewhere earlier in the thread? Is everyones like that?

I also recall being able to pick your license plate, and opt out of the front plate. Mine came with two giant pieces of black plastic on the front and back where plat should have been.

I'm really disappointed with what I got. It's not at all worth the ridiculous price I paid for this generic ass model.

It's the same for everyone. I also wondered about the gear knob and the stitching, but come to think about it - it's really not a big deal.

If you wanted no plate or a special plate you should have got in touch with Minichamps directly.

I did on the original order when I spoke with them via e-mail prior to purchase. At least I'm not the only one?

Mine came exactly as I requested with the exception of the orange stitching. However, he noted that they weren’t doing stitching due to the inconsistencies in how they were coming out. Sorry to hear about the bad experiences.

Likely a DCT?

I don't think they are making manuals.
Then again, did we pay extra for it having any kind of stiching or a different gear knob?
