Old grill design is better than new design IMO. New grille looks like a bad mustache day.

All these years later, the 1M coupe still looks waaaaaay more purposeful than the M2 ever will.

That colour is terrible also, I do like the orange interior inserts though.

This would look good in Yas Marina I think, with all the black accents. Too bad it'll never be possible.

LBB looking like the best color still.

Really dig the orange stitching and the m seats, but the orange inserts are horrible. That will look super dated in short order

Such a valid statement. I just cant get myself to like this car. Its such a shame because it such a superior performing car, and BMW just could not make it look good. To me at least.

it could happen.. ever heard of HENNAROT (an orangey red ) on the E30 M3 ?

http://www.bimmers.com/m3/hennarot/

During the early days of production, the e30 m3 was available in a striking color known as Hennarot -- a provocative orange-red. Production of this color occurred for approximately the first half of the 1988 model year (through Summer 1987 production). The color was then phased out for another color, Zinnoberrot -- a more mundane red.

of course... there are no mundane reds these days on M cars.. only M SAV.. WHAT?
Very first E30 M3 I ever saw was owned by my high school soccer coach in the late 80s. It was Hennarot, and all of the guys on my team drooled over that car every...single...day.

In a decade or two it will still be ugly.
Finally someone say it. SO is a terrible color, and sunset isn't any different. If given the choice between them, I'd take neither.

My opinion :
The color is really horrible seems another cheap car, is not sporty at all.
The rims are impossible to take clean without ccb that don't make dust.
If you mind 666 are similar and proposed 95 % with ccb

Wish BMW would have offered Misano Blue on the M2c instead of SO or LBB. It is offered on the X2 so is available at Leipzig. Definitely would have chosen that. Will go HS but a "sportier" color would have been nice and LBB has been watered down due to the prevalence on the base M2.

Those wheels do not do that car any favors. Completely ruin it's stance. Need something with more concave.

The new M8 is to launch in Motegi Red (Similar to the red on the Original M8 Concept) and will also feature on the new M3 Series.

Agreed. I'm having a hard time getting over the one piece design. Perhaps IND will come up with a tasteful way to separate the kidneys by running body-colored paint down the middle of the grille.

Prefer the 437M wheel design. The new exhaust is hideous but I'm sure the vendors are already at work creating a lower-profile version to fix that.

Thanks to the OP for posting pics

These are 12 colors currently on offer at Leipzig...I agree that they could have swapped Long Beach for Misano Blue or even Mediterranean Blue to shake it up. Honestly, even Polished Turd Brown (aka Sparkling Storm) is better than Sunset Orange...funny how they can't just call it Brown Metallic.

NOTE: Those of you quick on the ball may notice that there are actually 13 color chips in the picture below (I had to pull HK from the Belgium site)...but have a close look at Hockenheim Silver and Glacier Silver Metalic (available for the X2)...strangely similar don't you think???

Those mufflers seem like a deal breaker for an almost USD 70K car. I thought they will have something different for US?

LBB came on the X5M and X6M before it came to the M2 ... went to the X4M40 and X3m40... it's been around a few paint booths

Agree you that BMW has reserved some of its freshest colors for the X lineup. The orange on the Z4 roadster show car or the E copper that's on the i8 would be much better than this.

HALLELUJAH!

Somehow I have the feeling it will also appear on the X3 M before it trickles down to the next M3..
