Those M240i pics of SO look more like I recall seeing in real life for SO. Lighting (and white balance, etc) likely have a lot to do with online pics.

Here's my post of Jan 9, 2018 reporting that that particular Canadian car (WBS2U7C53KVB08899) was scheduled for production, but not built yet.

It was built on Feb 21, 2018:

  • 4 cars are 6MT and 4 cars are M-DCT;
  • 2 cars are Canadian versions (option 838: "Canadian Version");
  • 3 cars for PR campaign purposes (option 903: "Special Check Trade Fair/photo Vehicle");
  • as all other known USA-spec "M2 Competition" test mules without exception: all S55 3.0 with 302kW output and still none in Mineral Grey body color.

My order is for HS with orange but I am coming to the conclusion that the blue perforations maybe be better suited to the belts
It definitely clashes with the M colors on the seatbelts.IMO it would look much better with just the standard black seatbelts but it looks like the M seatbelts are standard on US and Canadian cars.I originally thought the M seatbelts would look great with the polar blue stitching when they added the option back in November on the MY18 LCI M2 but I think even the blue looks better with the black seatbelts.The polar blue definitely does look better with the seatbelts than the orange color.

Here are some pics of the MY18 M2 LCI with the M seatbelts.

The color is definitely a rusty orange color and looks nothing like Valencia Orange.My pics are basically what the color looks like.My advice would be that if anyone doesn’t like the color in my pics then don’t order the color.It looks even worse on a cloudy day IMO.

M colors on seatbelts are useless to me. I'm guessing this car will be covered with Ms everywhere too like C&D counted on the F80. It is what it is, can't do anything about it other than pine for the old days when understated and carrying a big stick was the game...like the E39 M5. My E39 M5 is about to leave home after its BAT auction; it's not even gone yet, and I miss it.

you guys and your " matching.. " this ain't Garanimals

Seat belt trim, steering wheel trim, and seat belt stitching are all accessory trim items ( like shoes or a belt on a mannequin) and by definition.. they don't need to " match" each other..

I can't recall if the M2 steering wheel has M stripe stitching like the 1M.. but it if it does... then the belts and the steering wheel will share the same stitching. (not that it's needed that they be the same).

Bmw should have made it so you can get the m2s/m240i's in the old 1600/2002 colors. It would look great in turkis

Love the car overall. I laugh every time when I see the alcantara on the sides of the seats.

If you prefer cool all-black wheels, get the black 763M wheels M Performance wheels.

Definitely got my eye on those, but still wanted the stock wheels in black if I went with HS. Was hoping they didn't need to be powered coated, but guess that's just one more item that needs to be painted all black,*cough* muffler *cough, cough*.
