Ordered a set of these babies right here, Work M8R in glim black
I kinda like how they resemble OEM 1M wheels, but with a more aggressive concave and that color will be quite nice on LBB with CF touches in my opinion, it plays between dark shades with a chrome(ish) glitter to it. I believe it will make for a nice look, without being too much boy-racer thanks to the OEM resemblance. 19x9.5+25 front, deep concave 19x10.5+32 rear, ultra deep concave. Will post pics once mounted! |

Look very similar to the Bola B8R mentioned earlier, probably same manufacturer...
Was very interested in these but too heavy vs. 513M or vs 2forge ZF1 (8,4kg !!!) since I need a track set |

I doubt they are from the same manufacturer(/factory)
Work wheels are a very reputable Japanese company, manufacturing high quality wheels. Mostly known on JDM boards for obvious reasons, but can be special ordered with BMW patterns as well. I don't know Bola but judging by the lineup it seems like they are mostly reps? Having that said, these Work wheels are flow-formed, so will be heavier than forged. But these will be my daily set, while OEM will become a winter wheel and another 18" set for track use. |

I'm based in EU, so prices may be different than US prices.
Varies depending on the type of wheel and specs, they have everything starting with those flow formed wheels to 3-piece wheels with various faces, lips, colors and customizable down to 1mm of offset. Mine are ~1700$ after a discount thanks to some connections or ~2100 without it, for a set of 19x9.5 fronts and 19x10.5 rears. For reference OZ Laggera HLT in 19x9+10 would be around the same ~2100$ figure around here. |

Just because a wheel is forged doesn't mean it will be lighter than a flow formed wheel. There are plenty of flow formed wheels that are lighter than the stock forged wheel as an example.

Not Japan indeed, but I'd be surprised that wheels are actually made in Japan ;-) |

Too bad that you didn't mention it earlier: I've just bought another set of new (non square) 513Ms and I don't live so far from you ;-(
Weird that I haven't seen them, I have an alert on that site. Which other wheels shall you track ? |

Carbon Rev wheels are life on that thing. It's amazing the M2 doesn't lend itself to many wheel styles. I would still like to see a 20" 3 piece r88 style wheel. You basically have had all the best options on that thing haha

Slightly offtopic, but...
@IND-Distribution I assume those are the BMW Motorsport lamp kit? How much custom fab was required to put them on the M2 bumper? How bad do they kill airflow to the intercooler & radiator? Are they tied in to the factory headlight switch, or is there just a generic separate fog light switch slapped somewhere in the dash? (A PDF of the install instructions linked on your site would be really nice.) I really like having fog lights to use in whiteout snow conditions (HIDs/LEDs suck in strong snow), but the last 2 cars I've owned didn't have them from the factory, nor does the M2... Not sure I can justify ~$3200 + fab work + permanent damage to car + decreased cooling just to add them though.

Your right... Totally off topic given this is a wheel thread.
Why don't you email IND directly re your questions/comments/opinions? |

Each his own. There's another LBB on this board running 10.5+32 rears and it looks spot on, I can't see a difference from Detailer Domain's 10.5+35 on pictures.
I guess we have to wait and see. With the deal I got it was worth rolling the dice, worst case it won't be an issue selling them on. EDITE; found the other Work wheels car. You can argue about the design of the wheel, but an OEM-looking wheel that would sit this way in the fender should look fine in my opinion. http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1281573 Last edited by M.B.; 09-07-2017 at 02:36 AM.. |
