Rudy does not frequent this thread. No one has heard from him in awhile. He doesn't answer PMs either. I guess the tire rack has given up on us.

So far my 2 sets have been great....bent one rim slightly but had it straightened.
I hit the curbs hard so these wheels have been well worth it.

Has the reason to replace them been wear out or failure?

Take a look at my comments about these wheels on page 8 of this thread.

I went with APEX EC-7's and have been very happy so far.

Btw, I decided against the C4's for a couple reasons:
- multiple mentions of the wheels getting out of round
- lack of engagement had me worried that they would stop making the wheel (they did).

Did you go with ET35 and put spacers on them? Doesn't look like they have the ET28's in that style. (Only the FL-5's)

Yeah ET35 - you only need spacers and extended lugs for the front. Here's what I got, directly from the order sheet:

18X9.5" ET35 APEX EC-7 WHEEL

APEX 5MM BMW SPACER KIT

APEX BLACK BMW LUG BOLTS - SOLD INDIVIDUALLY
Thread Pitch
M14x1.25mm
Thread Length
33mm (for 5mm spacers)

The tires aren't listed but I had them mount Federal RS-RR's in 255/35/18.

You can get away with 265s in some tires with ET35 EC-7s. Other tires require a small spacer. Also depends on your alignment and suspension setup, tho.

Those are actually the tires I was looking at, though I'm wanting to go a bit wider (at least 265, maybe 275).

Im curious if I go with spacers in the front, will I still be able to mount up the stock wheels for street and not run into any fender issues? Running stock wheels with 265/35's.

Suspension setup will be H&R springs all around and TCKline camber plates in the front.

Should be fine. I keep 3mm spacers up front all the time and run 265s on the stock wheels for the street. Works with camber anywhere bn -1.8 to -3.1 deg in my experience.
