2018 BMW Base Coupe

I was a software engineer, my prev company laid me off, and gave me 6 month of severance pay.

I decided to treat myself to a new performance car, the last sports car I've driven was a MR2 Turbo about a decade ago. My 2001 Toyota Camry decided to start knocking.

So I just bought this car 3 weeks ago, its my daily driver. I love how it drives and how it loves.

I will continue to incrementally upgrade this car.

Plan to upgrade the downpipe and get tuned.

Nice man. Making lemonade out of lemons. I'm glad you turned one of life's curve balls into something great. You will love this M2 for many years to come!

I was about to say that using your severance pay to buy a car before finding a new job is silly but I bought my M2 shortly after graduating nursing school with significant student loans. Fiscal responsibility can kick rocks, I’d rather have the nice car too 😂
Congratulations bro, your car is beautiful

Thanks! I actually started a new job at the same time I purchased my BMW M2.

I just wanted a fresh start in life.

My divorce finally finalized, and coming out of a bad relationship.

A new job, new place to stay, new city, and course driving a new car.

I get a lot of compliments about my M2, on first impression people often say they love the blue color.

I wish my dad could see my car.

He had multiple strokes last year that left half of his body paralyzed, he is mostly confined to being in bed, and cannot move or do much on his own.

My mom has showed my dad pictures of my M2, but he has not seen it in person, as he cannot stand up to look outside the window of their house.

My dad would have liked the color, since blue is his favorite color. He also loves sporty cars.

In my parent's culture, owning a BMW is a big deal, since it's an indicator of success, or a milestone.

When my dad first heard that I bought the BMW, he was excited, sitting on his wheel chair, he said one day, I could drive him and my mom to Las Vegas, as when I was a kid, my dad would often drive my family and I to Vegas.

In his current condition, I don't think that will happen anytime soon. I haven't seen improvement from him since he had the stroke, it seems he is just deteriorating, I try to visit him every weekend, and encourage him to move around on his own, so he can get better.
