Yeah, I just thought it looked classier and you're right, black kidney grills would've just turned it in to a grey blob haha.

Great thread, has confirmed that this will be my next choice of vehicle.

Seems like a lot of people are being generous about there photoshopping!

If someone is bored, you can photoshop my request!

Can someone remove those triangular directional vent things on the front bumper side vents? And just make it one large vent on each side, instead of that stupid triangle thing.

Cheers from Canada eh!

That "whalebone" happens to be the limited slip differential (Active M Differential with 0-100% lock).

I realize there is nothing to compare between my M-P LSD I have in my M235i and the 100%-locking-capable M LSD, but mine doesn't have a cooling like this at all. I definitely am afraid such thin radiators will bend/break easily, though...

The diff in my M3 looks something like that in the pic.

Yes it gives that concern, being so low and close to the ground. And no doubt a flimsy structure.

They've been running that kind of LSD for years. Why would it break unless you put a jack on there?

This. You don't run the risk of bottoming out on the fins aside from a catastrophic situation in which the diff is the least of your concerns.

You can get the exact color and clear coat from automotivetouchup.com and on a piece that small it looks identical to the paint at a fraction of the cost. $100 for painted reflectors seems ridiculous to me.

All M cars have a finned differential cover. Those fins act like heat sinks. They're actually VERY strong and not nearly as frail as the appear to be. I've never scraped them on any of my slammed cars I own now or in the past. I wouldn't worry.

Was thinking MG, then started liking LBB. Now I'm thinking that BSM looks scarey good.

Part of me wishes they only made one color.
