sorry I worded it wrong. I meant the individual drive logic, not the combined tied into the others.

so paying the same $ should yield the same individual customizable settings.

I'm nerdy and love the 3 different individual settings for the M3. along with M buttons too.

I think we may see that you can configure sport/sport+ to individual settings. If not, I think you're right - it should be no more than a $1500 option.

I don't think it's nerdy of you to want individual customizable settings. Audi does it on their S models.

Insider MSN Detroit Auto Show preview post stating the M2 will be 51,000.
I'm a bit skeptical when an "insider" is referenced. But 51k seems to have been mentioned more than once. If it turns out to be true, this car, IMO, will be very popular and another reason it'll be hard to get.
I guess we'll know Monday.

Bmw m2 price over msrp

m2 will begin to arrive in September of this year. The car is currently at $10,000 over MSRP, and our first 3 are sold. Would you like to get on the list? Straight from the mouths of bmw Escondido ,California

They don't know. They're just tacking an extra $10k on top of whatever it is. I bet these are not younger generation first time M car buyers. Great job BMW. Haha

This is also dumb because people have allocations with msrp locked in to the deal

Why are you getting your cars so late? Deliveries start in Canada at the end of April BMW Canada has said production begins in February. Either your info is incorrect or the West coast of the US is getting screwed

How many weeks between production start and delivery can we expect? 8-10 weeks if they are no delays?

That would go nowhere.
Like it or not, the dealer can charge whatever he wants for a car. And, when it comes to sales, pretty much the only thing BMWNA cares about is that the dealer remains in business.

The launch document from BMW said production (for Canada anyway) starts February, 2016 with retail launch (first cars) on April 16th. Seems quick to me but who knows

MSRP means manufacturer SUGGESTED retail value. That means the dealer can go up or down from that price. BMW doesn't sell cars to consumers. They sell cars to their dealer network. The dealer networks are independently owned.

BMW might not care about dealers selling over msrp, but yes they DO care about dealer reps in general. Dealers doing shady things = bad for BMW as a brand.

As long as dealers are operating honestly it's fine. I had a horrible experience trying to get a deal put together on my Audi with a downtown Chicago dealer, they were trying to defraud me. Wanted me to sign papers THEN give me pricing. Anyway long story short I sent a nasty gram to Audi NA at 5AM on a Saturday morning. Someone called me at 8AM the same day. I was shocked, pleasantly so. Needless to say I got the car elsewhere but it seems they do take that kind of shit very seriously.

Never said BMW NA never gets involved in disputes between dealers and customers. But if there are people willing to pay $10k over MSRP, BMW is not going to manage to get the dealer to lower their pricing.

theres no way to know for sure what would happen, i was talking about this to my sales rep in canada he was telling me that this sort of the thing is frowned upon and what dealerships will do to bypass this is resell the car as used inventory, if its in the used inventory apparently they dont care..thats just one persons story so take it for whatever its worth

If this article is right (big if), don't expect to see MSRP for the M2 during the Detroit auto show.

"The first M2 Coupes will be arriving in showrooms starting in April. Pricing will be announced closer to market launch. "

I hope the pricing is announced soon as I have been projecting what it will cost. Is the pricing for the M2 only unknown in the United States? It looks like most markets already have pricing (Germany, Belgium, Sweden, Australia, UK, Canada, etc, etc...)
