Congrats Artemis!
Love the 763 dark grey anthracite(?) wheel colour, normally they are pitch black. Or am I colourblind?

Cheers

Bittersweet but congrats! I love MG and the 6MT so that had to be a tough decision for sure. Hope she brings you tons of funs!

Congrats, i think you will find this vehicle to your liking.

Glad to hear you are getting better... motorcycles are something that I am very vehemently against due to injuries.

Welcome to the BSM club! It’s not as hard to keep clean. Washing it regularly is therapeutic.

Artemis powder-coated and/or painted them. Those aren't OEM orbit grey 763 wheels. I believe the OEM orbit grey wheels (rear) are 20"

Very nice Artemis!

Not planning to obscure the M2C muffler with dark paint. Despite the indisputable aesthetic improvement, thermal issues could occur: heat resistant paint flaking off after some time. With some the paint keeps up, with others it doesn't (see the dedicated thread here). The M Performance diffusor helps a little bit.

You're not colorblind, Robin_NL.

'Orbit Grey' is the standard BMW wheel color of the 763M on the M3 CS and M4 CS (19" front + 20" rear). I always liked 'gunmetal' colored wheels. So last year I ordered the black 19" 763M 'M Performance Parts' wheel set for the M2 (19" front + 19" rear) at my dealer, with the request to get the wheels refinished in 'Orbit Grey' upon arrival. And I now carried over the wheels from my former M2 to my M2C.

763M on M3 CS, M4 CS don't feature the "///M Performance Parts" logo embossed. Strange enough, no 'Orbit Grey' finish for the 19" 763M of the M2 CS (only jet black or gold matt).

Dedicated 763M thread: here.

Dedicated thread about the base M2 'Edition Black Shadow' (2018) (which featured black 19" 763M): see here.

Manufacturer of the 763M for BMW: SAI (see here and here).

On my former M2 (stock suspension):

On my M2C (same wheels and tires + stock suspension, but bigger wheel gap for the moment):

Nice...you will love the S55 (especially after running in)...when you rev it out you will feel a strong connection with BMW Motorsport

Code off the active sound and if you can, get an exhaust to open up the sound cause of the OPF

I've heat cycled my exhaust hard If you get my meaning lmao. If the muffler can is properly prepped and the paint cured via thermal cycling. It stays on. My can still looks flawless.

I really like the orbit grey change to the 763s, I may consider that for mine...

And yes you must paint the muffler flat black...

I can understand being obsessed with those mountain passes - got the bug pretty bad, partly thanks to you! After hitting a single pass (Stelvio) back in October '17 on my ED trip, I went back last June intending to hit another half dozen but... bummer Gotthard/Furka/Grimsel/Susten were still closed - only Gotthard had opened by the time we made our way back up from Lake Como but there was a torrential downpour that day so I don't count that "run" since I could only tiptoe through it in my rented M2C (DCT).

When were you at Grossglockner last year? I was there June 4.

So now I need to come back and hit those four. Sucked missing them - made even worse by going hungry in Kaprun after Grossglockner, then staying in an absurdly dumpy hotel in Fluelen the next night (after Klausen), which also happens to serve severely overpriced - and shockingly rancid - food.

Might do ED for a P-car in LATE summer (so all passes on my itinerary are open ) of '21 or '22 - if not (or if I can't wait), f it - I'll make a trip over just to run passes for two weeks! If you have a favorites list - Alps & Dolomites - I'd love to add to my list. Def appreciate all your tips from the past, which I used (from old 2017 notes) to organize the runs last June.

Congrats. I'm sure you'll love it. My 2018 M2 is DCT and have no regrets, but my other M car is a 6MT. I like being able to switch every now and then.
