looks surprisingly pedestrian. disappointing. different wheels and different color would help but the grills also make it look a little off to me.

We made a 3rd trip to look at Sunset Orange today. It was mostly cloudy with the sun peaking through at times.
I strongly encourage anyone interested in SO to not go by the pictures you see online and see it in person. It looks so much better in person, especially compared to online pictures showing a drab, non-reflective look to it -- it doesn't look anything like those in real life (to me or my wife). In the literal sea of black, silver, white, and gray BMWs at the dealer, the SO F30 looked really nice. Everything around it was boring by comparison. Anyway, we're about 90% convinced to order SO with an LBB choice still lingering as possible. Compare these to the ones that started this thread, and you can see why I say to see it in person before passing judgement. Here's my iPhone resized but otherwise unaltered pics from today:

A couple of pages back in this thread there was a discussion regarding the two finishes for the 788M wheels. There was confusion as the VIN on the car indicated the wheels should be all black, but the pics showed the wheels to have the silver machined face.
I recalled the Canadian Product Planning Bulletin had been released a month ago and had a vague recollection that it had pictures of the two 788M wheel finishes. As you can see below they are indeed all black. I still have no idea why the SO car in this thread is not wearing all black wheels. Maybe they were swapped out? I'm just glad the standard wheels have the machined face and the black wheels are fully black. Source |

We went to our local dealer to view a LBB current M2 today, and my wife has switched to LBB. It truly is a nice color, although comparing it to a 230i they have in Estoril, that would be an even nicer one, but it is what it is. If we could order this car in Electric Red or Imola Red, we would. So the new plan is LBB. Choice made. Waiting ensues.
