1st world problem
So I need the collective wisdom of the group. My garage currently includes a 2017 M4 Comp Pkg with DCT, a 2011 1M and a 2017 M2 Perf Edition. I am number 1 and have allocation for a M2C.
My plan is to see which one(or 2) I like best and keep them, likely selling off the third. The M4 is a lease so it will go back in 2019. My question is, how much money will I lose doing this? I'm quite sure I'll keep 1M. So likely one of the M2's will go. Several friend have said they would take the M2PE but you know how it goes when it's money time! So is this a dump idea?

Far too logical! You clearly don't buy new BMW's! Tell the truth, you drive a 1988 325i cause it's the last "true" BMW! Hahaha
Kidding of course! But that would be way too smart.

No one knows for sure what the future models will be like, but the m2c does not tickle me. The s55 works in the m4 chassis if you want the power. The current m2 is a wonderful little (not really so little though) city/canyon car that sounds great especially with mpe.
If I was you, knowing you will keep the 1M, I'd say keep the performance edition, as I liked the quirks of it. In my case, when that becomes too much of a handful after the warrenty expires decide then how much it'll hurt to get a used Porsche. |

Since the M4 is a lease turn in, sounds like you will lose the price you paid for the 2017 M2 minus the price you able to sell it for. It's hard to predict the market for used M2 once the M2C comes out.
Keep the 1M for sure.

My SA and I did the math and if I made the switch from my LCI to the M2C I would be offside by 5k. Plus the cost to put my LCI back to stock which would be about 3-4K and not all the parts can transfer over to the C. So I would have to sell them and might be able to cover the uninstall fees. In the end not worth it so I let the allocation go to someone else.

wait till you can test drive one.
for sure keep the 1m its a jewel. id personally trade the M4 comp AND the m2 perf for the one m2c and keep it. seems like having an m2 and an m2c doesnt make sense, and having an m4 and an m2c doesnt make sense to me either.. but thats just me. |
