MR.,
Have you seen the orange stitching in person? I like the way the center of the seats look in orange, but from pics it seems to clash with the M colored stitching of the steering wheel and the M seat belt stitching. I think the blue goes better, but is too much in the center of the seats.

BMW always finds a way to take a tasteful implementation and ruin it somehow.

Other than that, please feel free to drop any questions here, but let's stay on topic. We can discuss the installation of the roof, the weight of the car and the exhaust note somewhere else.

MR
MR where is the choice of interior color?
I see only m sport seats but the code of the color seems missing.

Nope haven't seen it yet. All cars I saw had the blue stitching, and I don't like it... It doesn't fit the final design of my car.

You never win with the belts and the steering wheel. There is also red in there that does not fit. I will swap my wheel for a M Performance wheel so it is what it is.

In the end for me it is key it is orange, because of the wrap design that goes on the car, and blue would definitely not fit to that design hahaha.

MR I check an important detail in my opinion:
With 420 you have moved the high beam from Kafas to the eye under the central mirror.
With sun band protection you have deletion of kafas. From my experience kafas is much much more better so evaluate to remove 420 and for example put driving assistant or 8th to be sure to have kafas.
Why is better? Is better to get the fully functional of adaptive led, VLD and NGHB.

Last topic evaluate the wireless charging in the near future all the phone will have this feature.

420 is only side windows, not the band at the front. What is kafas? I do not understand the rest of your comment.

Wireless charging I have on my phone, but I don't need the low voltage/amperage wireless charging in the arm rest LOL. Takes ages to charge. Get a RAVpower QC3.0 high voltage charger and get a decent cable and you charge waaaaaay faster your phone. Especially when it has QC3.0.

My phone runs the Waze navigation system when I am driving and it is fitted in a phone holder in one of the cup two holders (preferably the left one). I never touch the crap internal navigation system in the iDrive since it is S.H.I.T. in comparison to Waze.

....hold the phone. You can opt for the standard (current) M2 brakes? People were concerned about added weight from the larger brakes, not to mention the cost of looking after them. It sounds like someone not intending to track could eliminate that complexity if desired.

It depends on country/region. The larger brake option 2NH is standard for US. Highly unlikely there will be an option to downgrade the brakes.

It depends on the market you buy the car. Some markets offer the larger brakes as an option, some have them as a standard

I agree but do you know that with car play ( if you have iOS ) Waze and google maps will be available and with miracast ( android ) you can make screen mirroring?

I can in Czech Republic and so you can in many other countries. I do not know what the US offers you. You are f***ked anyhow having a sunroof and electric seats. Why oh why would you have those things...

I am not going to pay for that :P I spent my money elsewhere, next to the fact that I will never ever use iFail products... Only if I need to test an app or I am forced to use it when nothing else is around, but that is only with tablets.

Android Auto is decent but it has its limitations still. It is also not available on BMWs, and mirror cast is nice but why look at the screen in the middle if you still have to push the controls on the phone screen and I have my phone 15 cm lower in the cup holder. If Android Auto was available I would have chosen it, but it is not so there is no reason for me to opt for it.

Hey MR, Congrats on the build.
I got a question about the carbon tailgate. Whats the deal with the carbon area not painted where it says “M Performance” is that area simply an unpainted glossed out area? Can we request to paint the whole trunk one color?

Thanks

Like the bonnet, you can ask your dealer to paint the trunk completely. According to the info from BMW M Performance, the logo is painted and not a sticker, but I have to see that first before I believe it.

Im sure if you wanted, someone with the old m2 will trade you and maybe pay you even for your standard 2NH brakes.
