How to remove the ECU/DME?

Getting ready to jump on the MHD bandwagon. Part of the process involves removing the ECU and shipping it to them so they can unlock it. I looked on YouTube and couldn't find any F series N55 specific videos. Anyone have any DIY instructions or videos?

Thanks in advance

Just take your time you'll be fine. It looks a lot harder then it really is. If you were local I'd help you out.

Hardest part is taking off the dme connections they can frustrate you if you never dealt with them. Just take it easy and don't snap the cam locks they have an order in which they come off.

Good luck

They have a beta that is available on their website. Been out for a few months. I think they are on their 4th revision now... it's getting close.

Lmfao I was just going to tell you get bootmod3 and be done for like ever! It transfers over to all your future BMW's with the license and the agent just updates .

BM3 is totally the future. Remote tuning. Dozens of maps.

You definitely did right by selecting PTF!
