It will be interesting comparing the results that cecaa850 gets by multiple logs and updates compared to what mine ends up. Obviously there are many variables, so might be difficult to compare. |

Can't go wrong with street tuning when your tuner has the right experience over the years. This was the result of my road tuning:

Out of interest, what did you have set the four changeable maps to be? I was thinking low and high boost maps, just not sure what to do with the other two.. |

Mode 2 is same for the moment Mode 3 is reduced(flat) torque Mode 4 is reduced(flat) torque with track compensations (pulls power quicker as things heat up)

I did a log with all the parameters added and deleted that was requested by the tuner on Saturday morning. Sunday I got a modified map back to install. That was faster than I thought it would be. I won't get a chance to load it unfortunately until next weekend.

This is the result of my tune on ecutek tune. Had some issues with the car going into limp mode on the way home, but the guys worked on it and looks like it's all sorted now.
Basically just has the "stage 2" bolt ons. |

Feels a bit different to the BM3 S2 map that I was running, the power delivery feels a bit smoother. The smoothness almost makes it feel a tad slower, but I think it's just me. The map switching is a really nice feature. I was also told the turbo is maxed out now and the only way to get more gains would be to upgrade the turbo and fuelling, which I don't have any plans to do. I really should have done a comparison run of the BM3 tune and ECUtek tune.
I did a few runs against a stock M2 comp and we were basically neck and neck each time and mine would eventually slowly pull ahead. They're definitely a better starting point if you plan on tuning. |

I'm really enjoying the process. More power is felt with each revision. I like the fact that the tuner examines every log and optimizes everything for my particular mods and the fuel that I actually run. I have another flash waiting for me as soon as I get the time.

ECUTek is no joke, switched from BM3 in March and I haven't looked back since. First revision was better than BM3 with regards to throttle closures and consistency of power (BM3 could get to a state where boost would never catch up at high RPMs).
I'm only on the second revision which unlocked a bit more mid-range power as well as up top, and this X3 is a missile now. Incredible that I'm still very conservatively tuned for 91 and there's a ton of headroom, but the car is pretty well dialed in for canyon driving. I will say that ECUTek is a bit late to the game on N55 stuff, so they have some R&D goodies to catch up to. If you have a chance to get on the platform, please do. It will help many other users who do the same.
