2021 6 spd. Competition lives and works in flat boring (but free) South Florida.

Thanks to Able Tuner/ECU magician and Andrew for making this happen.
See info here:

https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=27924847

Process: Instead of shipping my hardware I had a local guy read my FEM module. I then email the Data to Able and 3 days later the “new” ECU Arrived/instal. That same day Able remotely did some final gear programming and the car was done.

Now being a paranoid tuner myself I needed to followed up with extensive data logging under diferente driving conditions.

Amazingly! Calibration was perfectly safe with no revision needed.

Next day followed up with a repeat Dyno. (Stock vs Tuned)

.
Blue Stock 404/430
Red Enabled Calibration. 503/545
5th Gear
RPM axis not shown here but run ends at 7500 RPM

Car is now a tire shredder of industrial capacity.

Time for road trip but not in flat boring south Florida.
Competition was pickup by transport and I will be delivered into my hands 6 days later in Las Vegas NV for a 3 week road trip in our beautifully west coast.

Want to come and play ?
Plan Colorado/Arizona/California.

This forum seems pretty quiet so perhaps I will post some pics from time to time on this tread to inspire some of you to get out and do some driving.

It's interesting it looks like it still falls on its face at like 5k rpm? Though with a 100 more hp at the wheel.

The formatting of the chart would
Make it appear that way but if you look a bit closer you can see that the stock run loses about 40 HP at redline from Peak power (365)
The tuned run loses about 15 HP from peak ending above 490 Hp at redline.

This translates to a gain of 125 HP at redline far from falling off this is perhaps the most impressive gain.

Meh, it just needs the rpm axis more than anything. And I honestly think the wtq here is a bit higher than I usually see, but no matter. The car pulls completely different after 5000rpm.

Here's a dyno from over a year ago of a custom tune I made for "just a bit more than the M4 GTS". I bet it would look a little like that on rpm axis.

What were the temperatures at dyno?

Dynos we're done above 90F.

I think the 125 HP gain at redline speaks for itself.
Fun to go there.

What's the production month of the OP's M2C? I thought the 2021s couldn't be tuned like this, that they were locked. Or perhaps that's the point, that this is a work-around.

If you watch the video, this process replaces your DME with a used one (cloned) that can be unlocked and tuned. Then you get to keep your original DME.

Man, seems like such a hassle, although I respect the effort and that the OP is sharing all of this information that others might find useful.

I'd be more inclined to go with something like this for a little more boost. Far less invasive and definitely easier to deal with, although I assume the end result wouldn't be as powerful as the OP's method:
