WTH really? M2 looks way more aggressive to me especially the front bumper. If anything, i would say M4 and 435 with M package look more similar lol

I saw the strips on a white M4, last week going south on I-95.

Nope.

Truly absurd. BMW forgot how to make understated M cars with this generation and the F8x. Thank god the M5 still looks subtle.

Yeah, in these specific pictures....perhaps it's the white or camera angles.

In all other pics I've seen, the M2 appears way more aggressive than the 235

In person, there is no question that the M2 looks more aggressive. The M235i looks understated, which is great, if you are looking for that.

As an ass man, it's all about the rear to me. And in that area the M2 compares to the M235i much like a 996 NA compares to a 996 Turbo. I am entirely clear on which of those cars I like better, though that is likely because I am a crude and unrefined person with no sense of automotive design. I still can't look at my own 930 without smiling at the audacity of it all, so the M2 wins for me. That's also why I like the M3 more than the M4. Apparently, I'm a one trick pony.

Wow those stripes ruin the M2.

M235i looks like a much more refined design compared to the M2. The M2 has an overly aggressive design. Almost wish it was toned down a bit like the M3/M4. Would've come out much better.

It's the stripes on the M2 that mess it up. You can't really see much a difference because of it. The white color also on both is adding to it. They both don't look very aggressive it's all blending into each other.

I saw a white m2 in person...look sleek and classy. I disagree. Every color is very subjective though!

This. You have to see an AW M2 in person. Pics sometimes wash everything out but in the metal it looks very sporty, sleek and aggressive all at once. But, I'm sure all colors do! Ha!

And yeah, the fangs look awesome in real life too. Yep, I'm a fang banger!

What was BMW thinking when they went with those? And then to put stripes on them makes them even more disturbing.

The M6 a few posts up is about as much as I can take and still say it looks good. You would think that the size of them would scale with the car. I'm mean, it's not like the M2 weighs 4000 lbs. I'm no M-engineer but I bet they could have gotten away with much smaller ones and not made them so Godzilla-ish.

But to each their own...
What are you talking about? The air curtain vents that started on the 1M?

I don't know what an air curtain vent is, but I'm talking about the two air intakes on each side of the front bumper used to cool the brakes. All m-cars have them, including my E46 M3, E60 M5, and also my F10 M5, but they are elegantly done. This new gigantic flared nostril look on this car just doesn't do it for me.

Respectfully disagree. While a F10 550 with the M package may look similar to an M5, the stance, the aggressive curves, those big blue brakes, all to me make the M5 a very aggressive and attractive car. Also, keep in mind its going on a 4/5 year old design, so it may start to look outdated which could make it look bland. But I do agree that to the average Joe, a 550 with the M package might as well be a M5.

M2 takes it for me, even with the gaudy stripes.

The M2 looks like a 235 had an allergic reaction. And the front splitters look stupid. Hopefully the aftermarket companies will make full bumpers to save this car.

Could not disagree more, everyone at every car show I've been so far goes on about how awesome an mean looking the front end is. M235i is straight up boring in comparison. Saying it needs full bumpers to 'save the car' is a blatant hyperbole even if you don't like the design
