Keeping auto-rev match enabled with DSC off

Anyone have a way to enable auto-rev match with DSC off?

I know some of you guys think that rev-matching yourself ensures you're more of a man or something, but when chasing lap times at my local track my times are more consistent with auto-rev match - and allows you to focus on braking / turn in more efficiently.

Is this something BM3 can do?

I'm in the same boat you are. Wish DSC OFF was the same at Sport+ just with the aids off.

It's not perfect but the best solution right now seems to be coding in M4GTS MDM:

I personally love it. Perfect for the street.

It seems that DSC off puts you into SPORT+ without any lights or indications, which annoyed me the first few times it happened until I figured it out.

Heel & toe is just a skill, like any other skill, that takes practice. Once you've gotten the skill down, you develop muscle memory and you can do it while driving without slowing you down and affecting your lap times.

That's incorrect, DSC OFF is its own unique driving mode (one of five) and there are some substantial differences between it and the Sport+ mode

Coding, "Start engine without clutch" switches off auto rev-matching in all modes..

Be aware, it kills the clutch position sensor and any related features that depends on this sensor for data, which includes but is not limited to; anti-stall, hill hold (to cancel with the clutch pedal), one push start button, ect..

For me, DSC OFF totally neuters throttle response which I cannot stand. I know the graph above states sport throttle but it feels like eco pro prius mode. I use sport+ in all conditions except snow.

Is your TPMS working? If it thinks your tire pressure is wrong it goes to comfort.

Some folks here are trying to disable auto rev-matching, meanwhile aftermarket companies are selling it as a possible add-on..

The enthusiast world is so topsy-turvy..

one thing I noticed is that rev hang is not as bad in dsc off, when rev match is on there is a noticeable rev hang during upshifts because ecu has to process

I think some of that "rev hang" is due to the rev match, which also works on up-shifts. In other words, it will keep the RPMs from falling too much so that when you release the clutch, the engine speed is matched to tire speed.

Thanks for the tips - I've been competitively racing for 20 years.

You can left foot brake and tail brake much more effectively skill or not with rev-match enabled while on the limit.

Thanks but this is 100% the opposite of what I asked, not sure how this is even relevant to the topic.

I see, sorry, I misread what you where trying to achieve. You want rev-matching with traction control off.

That's not available with coding. But the newer M2C/M4 has rev-matching in Sport +. Not sure about traction completely off..

Maybe a newer software update might work.. But more research is needed.

Maybe code GTS MDM and that gets you as close as you can get.

Correct so with M2C it's:
Sport+ 50% traction control interference, burbles, pops/bangs, sensitive throttle response and exhaust valves
MDM quick press: 20% traction control interference, throttle response more muted, slight difference in sound
MDM long press: TC 0% engaged (100% off)

The %'s I made up but it's from what I've been experiencing.

Hate to be the guy resurrecting an old thread. I was curious about this. When I do DSC off, it definitely feels like throttle response is comfort instead of sport. TPMS is for sure working, keep all tires at ~35psi tires warmed up. The cold side gets to ~32 and hot side on a hot day ~40. I have generally tested on a normal socal day with tires at 35psi. Throttle response is still comfort, not sport. Anything else to try or check?

I wish I could have sport+ rev match speed and efficient mode power delivery.
