Weekend car for me. Just Under 2 months into ownership and I've done 600km so far. I clearly need to drive more! Wish there were better driving roads where I live.

The M2 is my daily, my 997 Turbo is for fun. The M2 sounds better than the Porsche, but the Porsche feels more special and I enjoy the different driving styles.

Totally DD. A little harder on the snow for sure...but I run 18" rims and the ride is great.

I work from home 2 or 3 days a week but when I go in, it's in the M2. I have a 13 mile commute (each way) and typically put about 10-11k on a car in a year.
I tell you, after a tiring day @ the office, I can walk to the parking garage, hit that (red) start\stop button, and the day always gets about 10x better. It's a perfect way to kick off the rest of my day.

My 2017 M2 DCT is a quasi daily driver, as I go between it and my 2015 Boxster GTS 6MT, depending on my mood. The cars feel very different, in both handling and power delivery. The M2 has the M-Performance Exhaust and the Boxster GTS has the Porsche Sport Exhaust. The former is really sweet but the latter is simply spine tingling.
My one-way trip to campus is approximately 8 miles, but I wish it were longer.

Planning on it being my "beater"... not really, but sorta. I have my DD, I have my garage queen and I have a pretty good lead on a GT3. this car would be my track/burnout/drift machine. Prolly throw the kids baby seats in it once in a while and go for a joy ride, but mainly my FUN car.

The BMW M2 is the perfect daily car...it is designed and produced by BMW to be used as a daily driver. Absolutely makes the trip to work enjoyable and fun everyday...would be a shame not to use it as much as you can.

My M2 was specifically purchased to be my daily driver, and damned proud of it. My cars are to be driven and enjoyed.

Have a 2006 330xi that's fun when the weather isn't, and it does well in the mountains. When the weather is nice, I prefer driving the M2. Would be open to driving daily, but still enjoy it as a "special" car for now.

Drive it year-round, but on days when there's any chance of frozen precipitation, I take the bus to work.

My commute is about 5 miles round trip and drive M2 year round. Even though I rarely get snow, I have snow tires on apex 18" wheels for peace of mind when temps drop into the 30s and because I need to drive over the coast range occasionally.

DD is what these cars are made for.
Yes, and all seasons. Old commute was 80 miles round trip highways. New commute is 12 round trip back roads. She's been great all around. |

Nice to see so many people daily driving these great cars.
My commute is 15 miles one way. Winters are mild here. If the weather gets really bad my wife won't go anywhere and I can take her X1. I really don't care about racking up the miles, I'm keeping this thing forever. My e46 was 16 years old 200k miles when I replaced it. |

I see what you did there
At first I wanted to get a beater/daily but I don't really see the point. It's a car, it's meant to be driven. I babied my 99 M coupe and sold it a year later and somebody else got the benefit of me keeping the mileage down. Not this time! |
