I have some empty spots just waiting for a good enough feature to save, currently I have mine set to:

1.preferred nav distance and view settings (200’ perspective I think) I use this the most, can go from any screen or setting to displaying the immediate area around you in one press.
2.nothing yet
3.nothing yet
4.nothing yet
5.sets nav to my home city, (safer than saving home address in case car is stolen) this way if I am in an unfamiliar area and want to head home I can hit number 5 and the gps automatically begins navigating me home. Once I know where I am I will cancel it. Extremely easy and way more useful than I thought it would be.
6.nothing yet
7.Tire pressures display
8.Sport Displays

Will see if I can set one to toggle between full and split view.
Just click the “option” button by the scroll wheel in the center console and usually it will show the toggle for split view right there as the first option.

As commented before, feel free to assign one of your 8 programmable memory buttons to toggle SATNAV screen on/off. Easy-peasy. Apart from some frequently used SATNAV addresses and phone numbers (significant other), mine also feature onboard info (of the "Vehicle Info" menu) - SATNAV voice on/off - Split screen on/off.

can you just hit the 'map' button shortcut and it will go there too? instead of wasting a slot?

what do you do to program #5?

For #5 I store the address of a nearby Park.

Don't waste a slot on NAV. Just use voice command and say "take me Home". Also works with lots of other stuff like "take me to the Mobil gas station in my home town".

Use voice command and say "CSL power mode" to get 450hp.
