Yeah, I like them too. Saved me $2K+ on getting the OEM M2C retrofit.

They are from AutoID contact them and ask for Jack@AUTOID

Reasonably priced and not too hard to install, took me about an hour and 15 minutes. Read this thread first...

I was in 2 minds and my dealer called and emailed a number of times asking if I wanted a M2c as they have a build slot come available? I asked if you can confirm I will be able to add the MPE, his reply was no and a number of buyers have cancelled there deposits. Every time I'm in the M2 the sound makes s me smile and that's the big part of fun for me on a public road. I'm glad I didn't wait for the M2c

If not, he wouldn't be the only one. I don't often watch this guy's vids, but Vehicle Virgins just did an M2 vs. M2C comparison. For those not interested in watching, his take after driving both was that a low-mileage OG M2 was his preferred choice. Just one dude's opinion.

This guy's content is generally bad and this is no exception. Not a good comparison when it's a MT N55 car that might be stock vs a DCT M2C on track tires, modified suspension, roll cage, and who knows what else (tune? down pipes? Nothing?), and he only mentions the roll cage because you can't miss it, so he either doesn't care, or didn't bother finding out.

The OG M2 is far from perfect, especially when a competitor(Golf R) has adaptive chassis for 40k and examples of the R with 15k miles on it go for 29k or less.

That being said it sounds bad ass even with the stock exhaust. The N55 is almost bullet proof from what I've heard and I prefer the front grilles on the OG M2 by a long ways. BMW needs to hit us with the M2 CSL deck spoiler and I'll be happy for a while to come.

Exacly why I sold my magnificent sounding bone stock '16 OG M2 with MP exhaust. A great car nontheless, but N55 isn't flawless at all hate to say it.

Hard driving/high temps--->limp mode.
Breathless beyond 6000rpm....

But that sound.

I needed an engine that's stronger than that the way I drive it...

Cheers

Thankfully, both the above flaws are easily & reliably fixed.

If you know n55 then you'll already know usual bolt-on upgrades (DP/CP/FMIC) work well.

Adding Pure hi Flo inlet pipe helps too esp at mid/upper rev range.

I was at the brink of ordering Pureturbo turbos and stuff etc when M2C was announced.

S55 is a good engine for what I'm doing with my car

And Vehicle Virgins is back with a follow-up video.

I think the MG M2 he was comparing to must be a '17, because his pricing numbers sound like '17 to '19. That said...

Competition hype is dying really quick. Where I live, dealer is offering M2C with discount already. Two months ago, it was some 7~10k marked up. M2C MSRP is 103k USD inc. tax to begin with. M2 OG MSRP was the same 103k but discontinued. BTW, M4 is 150k.

In my country, there is no one that I know of that has traded in his or her OG for competition. No one even talked about such a trade in. Maybe it's a culture thing - Any M owner thinks of upgrade, he or she thinks of 911 or better.

It's an item collecting fun.

You buckle up, fire up the N55 + open the MPE valve, let it idle till cold start calms down and subsequently you whisper: "Okay. Show me."
