Had a Snetterton evening session couple of weeks ago, with all the selling out madness going on booking a month in advance an evening session was all I could get onto.
Great fun but felt like didn't give the car a rest to cram in as much seat time as possible for a 2.5 hour session.... managed 106 miles on circuit. 200722_SR_SN_Cars_5889 by M2 ClubSport, on Flickr 200722_SR_SN_Cars_5892 by M2 ClubSport, on Flickr 200722_SR_SN_Cars_5913 by M2 ClubSport, on Flickr 200722_SR_SN_Cars_5930 by M2 ClubSport, on Flickr 200722_SR_SN_Cars_5949 by M2 ClubSport, on Flickr 200722_SR_SN_Cars_5982 by M2 ClubSport, on Flickr 200722_SR_SN_Cars_5986 by M2 ClubSport, on Flickr 200722_SR_SN_Cars_6123 by M2 ClubSport, on Flickr 200722_SR_SN_Cars_6153 by M2 ClubSport, on Flickr 200722_SR_SN_Cars_6175 by M2 ClubSport, on Flickr Going back to not giving the car a rest got me thinking about the lack of temps I can keep an eye on, so ordered a vent gauge display through Hack Engineering https://www.hackengineering.co.uk/pr...ies-f8x-m3-m4/ Now here comes the list of excuses haha... not been to Snetterton in a long time nor in the M2, limited seat time, zero clear laps and shagged tyres, oh plus passenger weight I clocked a couple of 2:10 laps. Booked on Snetterton again on Tue 15th September for a full day. Pretty sure there is a bucket load of M3's booked on too |

Installed the AK motion data display
I literally hate wiring but once I got my head around it, it was very straight forward Untitled by M2 ClubSport, on Flickr Yes you loose a heater vent but having temps displayed is much more important to me, has a lot more features but I'm yet to explore them. Going back to glazing over my pads, cleaned them up with a belt sander but I do need to up my braking cooling to stop that happening again. |

I have the same wheels coming in, but why didn't you go with the 295 tires in the back? They do fit as well, especially with your back camber. Any insights? |

Had to remove 10mm spacer and yes it does fit fine. Reason didn't go for the 295/30/18 first of all as thought they'd be too low going from 265/35/19 but it works fine and speedo only over reads by a tiny amount. |

So you don't run any spacers now? Also not in the front? |

More of an appearance update, but in my mind they're both practical.
Ebay front lip to plumb brake ducting into. Quality and fit was actually far better than I was expecting. Will more than likely go down the AP pro 5000R kit again with BTCC discs & pads (as long as can get a good anti rattle kit for the pads and sprung floating rotors) Body roll - There was a lot of that! So-much-so that the little mud guard things that are in front of the front wheels were rubbing the floor around Plamers & Coram. Some H&R ARB with adjustable drop links are added to the growing mod list. Will also have a play around with bump & rebound on my KW as so far have just been on KW recommended settings. Carbon splitter - that fancy new lip took a beating on day 1.... chasing TeamPrawn Racing A3 through Bomb hole, he'd cut the inside and kicked up a load of clumps of mud I can only guess. Should be repairable but won't be as pretty. Tyres - Dead! AR1 haven't lasted long at all (mostly my fault as let them get too hot on day 1) but will be going for some 265/295 Cup2 next as a safer bet tyre into the winter. Fuel - My wallet does not want to talk about how much was used... but it was fun. |

Did you just ask for some padding to be trimmed?. Used Royal in the past and love their work. |

Yes asked for it to be skinner, like how a GT3 wheel is. Have to pay a little extra but it’s so worth it not to have a chubby wheel. |

Haven't updated this in a while... been rather busy working on a friends E36
Untitled by M2 ClubSport, on Flickr Following a clubsport theme on this too and it will be joining me on track days in the future. Back to the M2 - fitted a M performance carbon & alcantara gear sound, don't have any pictures but it really ties in with the interior well. Went for some new Michelin Cup 2 Connect in 265/35/18 & 295/30/18 only put a small amount of road miles on them so far but seem good. Will be a better all round track tyre than the AR1 but not sure will have the out right dry pace... time will tell. On my last geo the NS track rod was completely seized so set to freeing that off myself, didn't really want to use heat and one 13mm spanner as starting to slip so doubled up and put two 13mm spanners side by side, with a big pull came a big ping! Thought great... that has got it then notice it was actually my spanner snapping o_O Untitled by M2 ClubSport, on Flickr Got the violent tools out then Untitled by M2 ClubSport, on Flickr Freed off and backed the whole way out and cooper greased, then repeated on the other side. Saved the best till last. DeadWeight Industries battery, wanting to keep a full interior but shed a few pounds is always tough, pound for pound a lighter weight battery is the best way of doing this. https://www.deadweightindustries.co....ucts/touge-max Untitled by M2 ClubSport, on Flickr Untitled by M2 ClubSport, on Flickr Untitled by M2 ClubSport, on Flickr 16.9kg saved and this battery is actually more powerful than my stock one. Deadweight said if I daily the car could have gone for their 3kg battery  Untitled by M2 ClubSport, on Flickr |

This is probably the best £10 mod I’ve done & and only took 10 minutes to swap
Untitled by M2 ClubSport, on Flickr Untitled by M2 ClubSport, on Flickr Since owning my 330i auto saloon daily few years back I’ve only ever left foot braked in a 2 pedal setup, hasn’t been overly comfortable in the M2 with the normal sized brake pedal. |

2021 Update
Nothing much exciting, wired in a mute button to shut the parking sensors up as mine carry on beeping whilst sitting still even in N or D. Luckily can retro fit a panel that has the mute button for when you've front parking sensors and I was only one wire short which you can buy from BMW in the right length and pins. Bit of a pig of a job but so worth it! Had a spare knee pad and as my knee is no way near I made a slim version with the same leather. Ordered some H&R anti-roll-bars weeks and weeks ago but still haven't arrived, not looking forward to fitting the rear bar as whole sub frame needs to be dropped. Lasted ordered some adjustable rear toe arms running it lowered is hard to achieve the toe wanted. My combo is a little different with B16's/millway camber plates and 18x10 et20 upfront. Couldn't source cup 2 connects in the sizes I wanted at the time so just making do with ns2-r as stop gap. Overall poke should be very close to your 9.5 et25 with 10mm spacer however clearance will be less between the wheel and coilover. I'm pretty sure the b16's have better clearance than the clubsports so we will see. Thanks for your help |
