Thank you for this! I lived in Oregon for many years and go back to see my family there far less frequently after my mother died. She and I would always drive to the Coast from Eugene when I visited. I too own a Long Beach blue M2competition here on the East Coast- so seeing it in your photos on those roads gives me a wonderful feeling. Thanks.

Loved reading and seeing the pictures. For those seeing this and thinking Oregon is a great state to drive in and potentially live in, just know it rains and is cold here at least 11 months out of the year. I hear California and Texas are way nicer.

Lol, true. PNW is gorgeous for 2-3 months out of the year, and then the toys are put away in exchange for daily doses of Vitamin Ds to battle the gray.

Come prepared.

All true! Last time I was along that stretch of coast, it was completely fogged in, and cold! And it was summer.

Thanks! March could be dicey, certainly at the higher elevations. Probably wet and dirty roads in any case.
Interesting. We're not planning to hit up the mountains but maybe Hoh rainforest and then take the coastline down through Oregon into California. Heard it's pretty mild near the water. Hopefully even half as gorgeous as your pictures!

Wow!! Just wow! Just the kind of post that shows the glory of good roads and a great car. Pictures & write up are both commendable!

Thanks! Yes, along the coast should be pretty mild, just often gray and drizzly - but not always!

sorry to hear about the speeding ticket, but I'm glad you had a good time. just curious, is it just a fine or does it carry points? in NY everything carries points which is annoying

good luck and stay safe!

Fine and points, unfortunately. They fall off your record after three years. I had one in late 2018, none in 2019. Once before, several years back, I got a letter from the DMV saying I'd better clean up my driving habits, or my privileges might be reevaluated. Thankfully that hasn't happened since.

Thanks for taking us along the journey, especially during these times when you can't do any overseas travel. (I'm living in Germany)
The stunning scenery reminds me of my trip from Calgary-Vancouver Island-Vancouver back in 2018. The roads and nature was just breathtaking.

Shame about the ticket, but it's always these small incidents which makes the trip so more memorable.

Thank you! Those wheels are the BMW M Performance 763M wheels. Photography is more of a hobby for me, though I do get paid to do it once in a while. Lots more pics and adventures on my blog: bwhip.com
