The funny thing is, the configurator shows them on there.

Not usually a fan of those wheels in gold, but it works really well with the blue paint.

You will miss the MPE volume if you liked it in your F80. The CS needs a exhaust.

Any update on compatibility of M2C MPE with M2 CS? Thanks

Sorry for not following up. My wife and I welcomed our second child around the same time this car arrived. Everyone is healthy, happy, and life is awesome! My 2 year old daughter has already demanded a car seat in "the blue vroom-vroom car."

The CS has exceeded my expectations. It's fun and imperfect in that classic BMW kind of way. It's not a GT4 or 911 and all the better for it. I'm going to put as many miles as I can on this little lovable beauty.

I just purchased it. I plan on using the hell out of it, modding, etc.

I'm too lazy right now to dig and look for it (at work) but the rear 19's in gold are out/available part number wise. Saw it at least one thread so far.

Congratulations on the baby! Enjoy. Can’t believe how fast the time goes with kids.

What’s your opinion on the exhaust note? Torn between waiting to drive it a bit and see or changing it right away. Still a good 6 weeks from delivery so won’t really be able to see what it’s like until I can drive it in the spring.

Anyway, all the best!

Thank you!

I will definitely be ordering a new exhaust. IMO, the tone is very uninspiring below 5.5k RPM. Also, the top end ought to be 10-20% louder. And I never thought I'd say it, but I miss all the 'immature' pops and bangs my F80 with MPE used to make.

That being said, it's a matter of personal taste. I prefer that my exhaust is silent under light load (no drone), makes itself known at moderate throttle input/ engine speed, and goes ballistic at WOT.

The stock CS exhaust is somewhat loud with good tone when you're really on it in M mode, but very silent and dull when using anything but full throttle at high RPM. The burbles are there sometimes, but they are barely audible. For some, this may actually be perfect.

Appreciate the feed back. I feel the same regarding an exhaust. Unobtrusive unless you want that grin inducing growl and roar. Wouldn’t mind the MPE assuming it fits. We’ll see I guess.

Do the Canadian exhausts have the PPF on them?

Does the CS sound the same as an M2C? ie the same exhaust?

I am going to say yes.. only because something sounds choked. If anything there is possibly a "fake" ppf to mimic the back-pressure for the programming.

That's a good question. All of the critique we've heard so far from members and reviews I think has been on cars with opf. This is the only vid I've seen of a US version. I think it sounds promising. I may just at an equal length mid pipe to mine to change that awkward S55 sound.

I don't think there is a PPF. It is quite loud with valves open, though I wish it were 10-20% louder. Terrible closed.
