Retrofit backup camera?
Everyone that has ridden in my car always asks where my backup camera is. I tell them the only option on my M2 is the color. I do kinda miss it as I haven't driven a car without a camera in awhile. Hell, Honda's whole lineup has a camera as standard. So is there anyway to retrofit a backup camera or is the price just not worth it?

Yes. Bimmer-tech makes OEM integration cameras (https://www.bimmer-tech.net/bmw-rear-view-cameras/ ). The shop where I get my stuff done said they can install it - Ultimate Bimmer Service in Carrolton. I wanted one and looked into getting it, but I'm afraid that inside panels/dash will start squeaking after it's put together, and to me that's a no go.

I had Car Toys install a backup camera in my M235i. It integrated perfectly and gave a full screen view when the transmission was put into reverse. It actually had a better picture than the factory backup camera on my M2. The camera was installed in the same location as the factory camera.

I would expect you could even get one of the license plate frames with camera built in connected to the iDrive display. I have one in my Jeep connected to my aftermarket Apple CarPlay device.
