2018 M2 owner
Hello all!
After selling my e92 some time ago and driving Audi B8 S4 I’m back to the Ultimate Driving Machine lol. Picking up my baby M2 in LBB with DCT (took me sometime to decide between two). I got 6.5% off MSRP and decided skip M2C and stick with sickness of N55. Now, I was able to get some discount on MPE and need some advice if the price is right Please note, the price is in Canadian pesos. MPE list price - 3265. My price - 2718 4 CF tips list price - 498 each. My price 415 Thoughts? |

Thanks everyone. Might wait and drive the beast as is except for adding black kidney grill and black side gills.
My neighbor has exact M2 but with MPE and I’m blown away how it sounds. Although stock exaust is freaking insane as well. |

I have the MPE, and it is a must have with this car. Just make sure it is the latest version of the MPE. Congrats

So what does the MPE give you? Is it just louder? I'm so in love with the stock exhaust note, I don't want to mess with it.

Congrats on the purchase! Can't help with the MPE, though. We love the stock exhaust sound just the way it is, it allows the car to be pretty quiet in comfort mode when you just want to chill and then roar when you turn it loose. Best of both worlds. But everyone seems to love the MPE and I don't recall many (if any) posts about people regretting getting it. Whichever way you go, there's a pretty good chance you'll love this car.

First congrats on a great purchase, I have had my M2 for 20 months and driven it 33,000 miles and 6 track days (so far) and have loved every minute/mile. My opinion is MPE is not worth the cost, its your money so you should do what you want but I think it is a mistake to not drive the car stock first and then plan your mods accordingly. I think the far better mod where you get better exhaust tone, sound in the car and actual horsepower/torque is to do a Fabspeed downpipe. MPE is just sound, expensive sound. Why not get better sound and also real performance? Having said that the car is great stock and I think its good to enjoy it for a while that way.

MPE is nice and looks sharp. For sound vs cost I'd get Fabspeed or GT haus. The sound is glorious and you can buy a Fabspeed sportcat downpipe as well and be under the MPE cost!

I now have a Fabspeed Sport Cat and a tune, and with the stock exhaust it is more than loud enough. Many people have said that the Fabspeed Sport Cat (or Cat Bypass) with the MPE is obnoxiously loud. Some may like that, but I'm pretty glad I didn't spend the multiple thousands of dollars on the MPE, particularly the tips - wow... $415 each! You can get pretty much identical rip off copies of the MPE tips to fit the stock exhaust (or MPE) on Aliexpress for just over $50 each.
