Took a lot longer than expected to repair the car however it is now back and i picked it up the other night around 5 weeks on from the accident. It feels good as new and the body shop have done a fantastic job. I was worried about there being rattles/squeaks etc and it not 'feeling' right but i honestly can't tell the difference - it feels good as new.

Cant beat the feeling of getting it back after 5 weeks without it
Glad it worked out for you; congratulations, enjoy your car!

Roundabouts collect diesel, which as a motorcyclist I can tell you is pretty slippy even when it's dry.

Add rain and the traction control won't save you...

Salvage Title Rebuild M2

How much would you guys think this M2 would cost to repair? I'm located in Southern California and found this on an auction site. Would it be worth it if I could get it cheap enough?

You're welcome. That's tens of thousands of dollarbucks worth of repair. I wouldn't touch that fucker with a ten foot pole. Don't do it.

How much was the auction at so far? I'm really tempted to build an M2 convertible, probably based on an M235i, but would like to have the subframes and suspension from an M2, so an insurance write off would be an ideal donor car.

If the insurance wrote it off, factoring in the m2 is still pretty new and probably hasn't lost alot of value yet, there must be major damage to the frame. I don't even think most of the suspension parts off that car would be worth anything.

That looks like a good source of an engine and interior parts but other than that it just looks like too much work to try to fix
