2020 M2C worth it?

Hi,
I have the oppurtuniuty to buy a 2020 M2C DCT with 21k mile for $54k. It has executive package and few CF bits like front diffuser and spoiler. It also has the 763M style OEM wheels which I did not know were available on US M2C.
is it a good deal?
I am quite surprised by how well the M2 is holding their value even when used car prices have come down a lot.

Just really have to drive it and see how you like it. We are all going to be biased here on the value of these cars (I personally feel like they are one of the absolute best values to be had of any platform) but really just need to see how you like the car. Better yet if you share your area might be able to get a ride in one that can really show you what the car offers that is hard to see in a short test drive. On that specific one just based on that info seems about right but probably has a little room to work.

They seem to be cheaper here in Canada.

2020, 14000 miles $46k...

I noticed that one of our used car dealers is importing used M cars from Canada and converting them to us.

I think $54K is high for a 2020 DCT car. The last M2C sold on Bring-a-trailer was a 2019 with 32K miles for $43,500 https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...ompetition-32/.
Here's a 2019 with all of the carbon bits you mentioned for $46.9K
https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/c...-da7c9bf01d54/

If you really like the car, I would work with the dealer to work out a price that's more in line with cars being sold. I know it's tempting to say screw it and throw money out to enjoy the car, but you're paying potentially $54K for a 5 year old out of warranty BMW, I got my 2020 M2C in April of 2019. I'd definitely start at a much lower price and go from there.

I just sold my '21 with 20k on it with 6mt for $54500 so for a year older and automatic I'd say it's a bit high. With that said, I wouldn't sweat a few dollars if the car has maintenance records and is not abused. These cars are getting harder to find in good shape.

I was looking quite religiously up until this week, i just can't swallow the 4 year old car, barely if any warranty $50k car, that costed as little as $60k brand new for an M2 with no options. Say what you want about the new one, but a G87 for $63k seems like a safer bet.

A nearly new 2024 G87 with $67k msrp and 3600 miles just sold on C&B for $59k this week. Had PPF on the front end already too.

Why are the G87 prices so weak?

Condition is everything. Ironically my 2020 DCT 21k miles is a nearly perfect showroom condition garage queen and wouldn’t fetch as much money as a semi beat 2021 at least in terms of dealer pricing.

They took a gamble on the design, and they failed. Both exterior and interior language. You just can’t follow up the F87 design with…. Whatever the hell that mess is. Of course looks are subjective, but when the first talking point of the G87 is ‘once you get past the exterior…’ it’s not a good starting point.
There are THREE G87s in the used section of the dealer around here already. I could barely find any F87s, OG or Comp, when I was looking for mine.

The CTR crowd doesn’t have the money BMW thought they did.

I have to admit I'm trying to like the G87 when I see one but then I look back at the F87 and it's tough as hell.

Having said that the G82 M4 has certainly grown on me, not unlike its dimensions...

I can tolerate the G87 in Toronto red and if I’m honest, I’d probably welcome the increased comfort and luxury it offers. I miss the more upscale interior I had in both my F80 and F97. If prices continue to be soft in the next year or 2, I may consider one but it’s still a long shot.

I'm going to take an M4 Xdrive out to see what all the fuss is about, If I go big that'll be the one...

Just make sure it’s the M4 you’re jumping in and not the Mustang…

Non-sequitur. You’re trying to compare Janet Reno to Scarlett Johansson.

I have seen some g82s that i would defo drive. The carbon intake inserts they use now are downright menacing. Gt500 vibes.
