That definitely seems like it sounds better than the hunk of trash that comes on the back of the car from the factory. |

This is great news indeed. I'm going to buy one as soon as you confirm the parts numbers 🤙🏻

Current cost for port install is $6310 MSRP (6110 + 200 labor) before any discount. This is a $85 price increase from last year. Important to note for anyone ordering - this is now one part which combines the exhaust and tips. The one for the Comp showed up as OZA4 for exhaust and OZ6M for tips. Part number Short answer - I don't know, sorry Long answer - port install only shows up as a code on the build sheet. The code is OZA4. However BMW uses the same code for M3/M4 (part number is 18302349921) and for M2 Comp (part number is 18302345928 - this is what's shown on that parts sheet you have a picture of) If you are sure that parts sheet was for a CS VIN, then you should be fine. Alternatively, if someone knows where the part number is etched on the MPE, I can try and crawl under the car and take a look. |

A few members have suggested a tri-state meetup, more than happy to do a side by side comparison video during that. |

Maybe f80_MG can show us a couple of rear end shots to illustrate that.

Thanks for sharing this. Out of interest is the MPE for the CS titanium? The carbon tips looks beautiful.

This is what I'm finding as well - it's sounding better as it 'cures'. The outside sound is great IMO. Inside not so much. I'm worried that all the effort in a new exhaust may translate to no difference inside the car - in which case, why bother?

I like to leave it stock, balls and all, looking. I think my cheaper sound improvement option will be AA ELMids.

Yes the MPE is titanium. Here's a before and after on my M2C... big improvement in looks, bigger improvement in sound.

Your original muffler is hanging slightly crooked, which is something that I feel is happening on my CS also.

Aesthetically it's night and day from the udder, and the muffler looks even better once it cures and gets that bluish tint after a few thousand miles. Quote:
I like the carbon tips but debating if I want to do titanium tips with the silver M2 CS badge or keep the CF tips and go black badge. Quote:
Yes, MSRP. You can negotiate a 5-10% discount at port and ~20% if picking up from a dealer and installing yourself or another shop. Install time is only about an hour. |

I may be wrong, but isnt the MPE notorious for cracking?
Why spend this much for that system when Akra is about the same and doesn't break? Please pardon the ignorance if I'm incorrect here

As far as I know there were some issues with the MPE for the early M3/4's. A new version was released. I don't know of any cracking issues after that.

Others love the Akra and would not buy the MPE even if it was half the cost. Quote:
Do you know if this is covered under warranty or just considered 'normal use'? |
