Show me your carbon side winglets (and kidney and side grilles)!
My M2 CS has been sitting at Port Bremerhaven since Dec 8 waiting to finally get loaded onto a ship to NYC (its missed several scheduled ships).... ugh... got bored so added the carbon side grilles (ZW1), wheel locks (Z62), and stainless steel pedals (Z24) for port install.
I know a few of you have spec'ed the OEM carbon winglets on the CS already but are busy perfecting the new ride for a proper post-delivery update pic! Now thinking about adding the carbon side winglets (Z02)... Show me your carbon winglets please! +1 for Misano Blue! I like the black gloss contrast of the standard kidney grilles so don't think I'd go carbon there at this time. Then again, it'd be the only missing exterior carbon piece. This will have to do for now as I wait for the car and the winglets to get wrapped

I personally don't care for the grills, the winglets are nice, but the car doesn't "need" them. The carbon gills though was a must as that was the only matte plastic on the car anywhere.
I also am adding the stainless pedals and the self leveling wheel centers.

Anyone make the carbon bonnet vent? I need that too. More carbon fiber please.

Agree with everything you state. Stainless pedals will be first-up, and interested in gills and floating roundels but not much more on the exterior other than protection.

Any chance you got a full side shot of the car? Rare mods indeed. |

I don't think you can really compare them. The spyder is a great open air driver. It's lighter, more nimble, and the Porsche Manual gear box is better (notchier, more mechanical, clutch a little heavier and less rubbery). I like the OEM sound on the M2 CS better UNTIL I put an Akrapovic link pipe on the spyder and it now sounds amazing. I have buckets on the spyder and prefer that to the M2 CS seats for support. I like the BMW iDrive better. The turbo of the CS is addicting, but the naturally aspirated engine of the spyder is more rewarding. Easier to drift and have fun with the CS due to RWD and front engine rather than RWD and mid engine. M2 better daily driving car. Both special cars.

Yes you can, but why would you? No great work of art, imho, should be compared with another

uGH! I wanted to do the CF fenders, but, I felt the lines were odd. With that said, I think yours look great! Post up some more pics!

Looks great- Did you have a chance to weigh the CF fenders versus the factory fenders? Very curious to learn the weight savings.

Sorry no CS but here's my M2C with the side winglets. I think they would look great on the CS also. They make the rear fenders appear to be even wider.

CF weight: 1.1Kg Savings: 6.2Kg (13.6lb) total Note that I have included the weight of the fender liner since that needs to be replaced as well

I have figured out I want more of a dedicated weekend fun car and I don't mind it being compromised as a daily driver since that will not be its intention. Still not sure what I want to do yet though. |
