Sticky Tires??? PSS

Anyone else having this issue?

Pulled car out of garage. Washed car. Dried car. Put back into garage.

Then I went to take it out about 2 days later and it took some high throttle and torque to get the care to move. Went back and saw that both rear tires basically fused on to the garage floor. Temps around 50-70 F.

Never happened on any other car I've owned.

Are you sure it wasn't rust on the brakes?

You might have used them too hard too early. Tires like the PSS need a few hundred of normal break-in, and that stuff on the floor is likely the outer-layer of compound/wax put on the tire for shipment to protect it long term.

Any pictures? Did you use any tire or wheel cleaner on it?

Sorry added pictures. No tire cleaner or anything this wash. Only my initial detail back in late December. Car has been babied and not driven hard at all. Only 90 miles on her and haven't been above 4k rpm

It was sticky a few other times as well but this time was tough

Had a similar issue with PSS on M3, but turned out to be a problem with my garage floor not the tires.
Looks like early 'hot tire pickup', but hard to tell without checking the texture of the garage floor.

It wasn't your tires. After washing and leaving the car for a bit the brakes get very grabby, and also emit a nasty sound when used as it gets the rust off the calipers. If your tires stuck to the floor, then thats a whole nother animal...

I agree, after washing your car you should go for ride and should brake at least 3 times from 50 km/h to 0...

Having same problem with any type of tires even on my 440i...

Yes brakes will stick to calipers if immediately parked - easy way to avoid that in DCT M2s - turn the car off as quickly as you can after coming to a stop in the garage.
If you hold your foot on the brake for a few seconds after coming to a complete stop and then turn the engine off, the brakes stick to the calipers and next time when started, you can hear a loud audible clunk when moving the car.
It's part of the auto-hold mechanism on DCT. Same problem in winter for those living in sub zero temps.

I understand the sticky brakes. I felt that before. But this was rubber. It took some serious scrubbing my floor to get it off.

Floor is 5yrs old so it definitely cured.

is there a flat spot on your tires where it "melted" onto your floors? Ive heard of hot tires melting the epoxy off the floor, but not the other way around.

Is it possible the front pads were stuck and you spun up the rears slightly before they let go? You sir, might be the first CS owner to do a burnout in their garage
