I'm getting the impression AA has pretty bad customer service. It took them 2 weeks to refund a paypal transaction for me when it should have taken them 1 day.

Bumping this thread to see if anybody else has installed the AA mid pipe in the last week or two and can share some additional insight or observations.

Well there was drama in the EL thread in the exhaust section causing it to get locked.... apparently, the EL midpipe sounds like shit if you are using catless downpipes. So, if that is your plan, then you better start reading up.

Who is going to use catless downpipes on a new CS? Serious Mod man that's who...for me?

I'll be using it with stock exhaust and downpipes. As long as it sounds like the videos it should be sick. If it doesn't I'll sell it for scrap.

Regular mid pipe for the serious modders. It doesn't "great" with stock downpipes and exhaust.

I just called and it still hasn't shipped. Are they made of Gold? I ordered it 1 month ago this Saturday. No but cause Covid. Covid...I suck because of Covid...I'm tired of Covid excuses. Losers use excuses. I'll wait another week then I'll cancel. Then it will take 3 weeks to refund my money cause Covid. This is why I'm trying to find all local sources for my parts. It's hard thou. Sometimes you just need shit from the Motherland or wherever. I'm still waiting on my parts shipped form Germany December 1, 2020. That's right. Over 2 months. Suck it Covid.

I feel like I should have ordered the single midpipe. I only heard good things about it. The EL hype got me though, so I ordered mine a couple weeks ago.

A fellow member just installed the single Midpipe and said he couldn't hear a difference. Not something I'm willing to spend $1g on AND cut the stock exhaust for.

I just played the OP video and if my car sounds like that after installing the EL midpipe Ill be thrilled.

Won't be going catless downpipes, but this is good information.

I'm running the normal aa midpipe on mine..only 500 miles but surprisingly not too much difference in tone or volume

No kidding! I would love anywhere near that much volume. I guess being patient and waiting for some others to install some different options might be the most prudent.

This is unfortunate. Will be interesting to hear an update in another 1500 miles.

From the research I've done, I think single is only deeper with other exhaust mods...the EL mid pipe is mainly for otherwise stocker exhaust systems.

Very weird since it eliminates resonator and 2nd catalytics.
Maybe will open up after 1000+ miles like others have experienced.

So subjective/personal I like the fact that the exhaust does not have allot of overuns/backfires etc but would like more of the OEM sound

I am hoping for the same after break in and also wished for just louder OEM sounds.

Got another update from my vendor saying another 1-2 week wait for AA EL midpipe.

I honestly don't care for AA Customer service. I cancelled the order.

Now I'll go for a complete midpipe and muffler. Much weight savings, good sound and looks as well.

I'll be researching full exhaust now. Maybe Remis?

From what I've heard Remus sounds best to me but it's all subjective. Remus sport is clean, Remus Race is more aggressive and much louder

Yes! Just need a little sumpin sumpin...don't need much.

I have race cars for the noise makers. Mildly tuned stealth is good for me. And no fricken crackles thank you very little.
