The exhaust of the Safety Car is modified - no cats, no resonator, no flaps.

I don't know if anybody noticed that the M2 MotoGP Safety Car has gold wheels.
Maybe a possible wheel color for the M2 CSL (or whatever it maybe called)? Or even for the regular M2. As the 2015 M4 MotorGP Safety Car had the water injection system for the M4 GTS, and they were apparently trying out that and certain other equipment on the safety car, would it be safe to assume that is what BMW maybe doing with some parts in the M2 safety car (the rear wing, gold colored wheels, possible S55 in future M2 GP safety cars, among other things)? |

Very curious about the exhaust sound in the video. I wonder if they did a little audio tweaking (I assume there is some) for the video or if that really is the actual sound. Was pretty aggressive sounding in a good way.

Ah yes. All this claptrap would be why reasonably unmolested, low mileage examples of previous M cars command premium pricing on the open market. The damned cars haven't even landed yet, and already it's time to tart them up? I would leave well enough alone. When wear and tear require a suspension refresh, I would consider the performance suspension. The rest sure looks like boy racer rice rocket bling to me. I see nothing else here that would significantly enhance performance one iota, and thus calling all these gizmos 'BMW performance' parts strikes me as a misnomer.

Are the all-silver wheels available for the M2? I've only ever seen the black-accented wheels in M2 pics.

The spec sheets I have seen for the M2 only show the black M437 wheels as standard and no wheel options. However, I think the same wheel design is available from BMW in all silver, so it might be possible to work something out, either with the dealer or by selling the black wheels privately and buying the oem silver version in the same design. Might cost you something but also might be worth it. I do not like the black wheels at all. There are silver winter wheels offered in Europe, but they are minus 1s, and I wouldnt go that route even if they were an option here in the US.
