I was in the process of changing the steering wheel today on my M2c. Stupidly halfway through, with the steering wheel removed and battery unplugged I closed the boot.

I set about getting the boot back open by using the battery terminals under the bonnet, not realising the car was powered on for a brief moment without the airbag.

After everything was back together I now have an airbag error light on the dash. I tried using bimmerlink to scan for codes but no error codes come up other than for ASD which I have switched off.

Anyone know how I can remove the light without a trip to the dealer?

Unsure if you also have BimmerCode but part of its coding process for some of the ecus includes clearing error codes. You could try that?

Spot on, that sorted it! Over the moon with that thanks very much. Thought I was in for a trip to the dealers or trying to get someone to do some full on coding.
