Today I use Apple CarPlay/Siri for the 4 listed. Wouldn't the BMW AI do the remaining one? |

Also, in the 90s (and 2000s) you could only program the buttons with radio stations. These are "smart" buttons that can be programmed with most anything you like, with limitations. |

This is funny, I just realized the buttons for my rear/front fogs Euro headlight switch is cracked also..
Seems to be a BMW signature defect. It's staying just like that until I sell the car, it just adds character.. |

Reviving this thread .... because this happened to me too! Cracked function buttons on my 2021 M2C! Just noticed last night! Not good.
I have only 5600 miles on my car. Way too soon to have this kind of wear and tear on dash buttons. Kinda crazy. I've only ever wiped them down with a micro fiber cloth. I assume it'll be covered under my warranty, but we'll see! Last edited by Swish77; 03-24-2023 at 08:00 AM.. |

Glad this thread was revived! I've got a crack on my #2 button; thought this would be considered normal wear and tear, but good to know that it can be covered under warranty. Will probably get mine replaced after I rack up some more miles

Just heard back from my BMW service rep about the cracked function/radio buttons on my '21 M2C. It's fully covered under warranty, although it'll take a week to get the part(s).
I'm gonna take care of it right away, just in case it happens again. I want to make sure I take advantage of the warranty while I have it for another year or so. |

I noticed something similar on mine yesterday. Strange lines on the buttons. I'll check to see if I'm getting any light bleed.

So they have a part number for the buttons, or did the have to replace the entire radio?
