I've found the ebrake buttons, on all the newer cars I've driven so far, have a slight delay between button press/pull and engagement/disengagement. It weirdly messes with my timing and rhythm when starting/exiting a car. It's very minor but so strangely annoying. Like a grain of sand in your shoe.

Really love how “simple” the interior is compared to cars right now.

I’m here to drive.

Ngl wish we had the orange lit cluster though

Speaking of discoveries. I was out in the garage just now attempting to restore a 2 year old alcantara steering wheel and discovered that the arm rest is slide adjustable forward and back. Never knew. My car is manual transmission so I don't really use the arm rest.

I just spent a week on business travel in a rental Audi Q3. After jumping back in the M2 after a week away, my first reaction was to all the noises. All the glorious noises! This car communicates so much of what it’s doing — it was especially noticeable after a week in the numb Q3. The M2 really is a driver’s car!

What, couldn't get an RS3?

Mere noise and jealousy! Tell her you got them on sale and talk to no end about how you saved her so much money.

When you’re doing just about anything* else and your mind starts to wander about driving it on a twisty road or blasting it around a track. The uncontrollable smile starts on your face and you forget what you were focused on. THAT is what this car is about.

The first time I drove a stock one, it put a huge smile on my face.

The last 2 cars to make me feel that way were a 2007 s2000 and a 981 gt4

I was away on vacation for a couple of weeks. Last night I drove the M2C for the first time. The temperature is pretty cold, just above freezing, so the tires aren't as grippy as they are when it's warm. This made the car even more tail happy than normal, which was a lot of fun. I love this car!

With the PA4s I love driving this thing in the cold...

It has been a week since I drove mine and I miss it. It is -1F here in St Louis and I have the OEM PSS tires. It sounds like fun to have the PA4’s but I am too lazy/cheap to change to winter tires. I will drive it in 25F if the roads are clear, but that is my limit.

I’m the same about winter tires and since it’s not a daily, it can stay inside when the roads are snowy. I do take it out in cold weather but it’s no fun in corners. I’ll drive it every day that I can make it up and down our sometimes snowy mountain road. If the roads are clear and I have 30 mins, I can’t help myself. What a joy to own and drive this car

They're not cheap but you only live once and I need to drive her hard or I get depressed.

Wait...that came out wrong...

For me, as someone who keeps cars for a long time, the M2C was the natural next step from my E46 M3, which in turn was the natural progression from my old E36 M3.

I suspect there will never be a natural next step in the future so the M2C will likely stay with me till I die.
