Your mods shouldn't have any impact on getting warranty repair on the faults you described.

There's a high probability you'll get 'flagged', which will impact your warranty for future powertrain faults, should they be related.

Aww man that's what I don't want lol
I don't want to get red flagged

I used to take it to McKenna bmw before but I had a close friend as a tech there and
I used to take my f30 even tho it was full bolt on
And he would warranty everything

But my friend no longer works there :

If I do end up taking it to the dealer

Do you guys recommend putting the stock tune back and driving it with the Catless down pipe check engine light on

Or drive it to the dealer with the tune on and obviously no check engine light ?

or should I bust the mission and reverse the car back to stock lol
Put the stock cat back on and stock tune

Looking at some of the issues to be electrical it couldn't hurt to put it back to stock tune in case they check the ECU for some reason. It only takes a few minutes with BM3 to load and unload anyway. But the other mods shouldn't have any correlation to your issues you listed

Doesn't matter if you flash back to stock. It'll be detected regardless.

Pay to play. If you're modded and you fuck up then you just gotta be prepared to pay for it.

Appreciate if they decide to cover you but don't go in expecting it

Otherwise just stay stock

Yea totally understand

like I mentioned a friend of mine was a main tech at the bmw dealer and he would warranty everything even tho the car was heavily modded
Those days are over tho lol man I miss that lol

I have read that one service advisor at new century was mod friendly and he was here in the forums but this was a couple of years back
I wonder if he still there

what about the charge pipe

I have allll the original parts I wonder if I should just go back to stock

The new directive that I've heard sweeping most dealers is that if there is a need for a powertrain related warranty claim, BMW NA will require the dealer to plug in to your car and scan it to make sure it's never been tuned. So I think the days of relying on a mod friendly SA are coming to an end.

But then again I don't know for sure. I still use my known mod friendly local SA for anything I dealership related.

In my experience, they are all mod friendly until there is a major repair. I would definitely be prepared for warranty to be denied (within reason) if you are modded. Of course in your case the cup USB and rear light won’t be an issue, but a tune and crankhub will certainly catch someone’s eye.

thanks for the input

I used to drive a f30 n55 fbo
Stage 2 e30 blend trans stage 3 flash
With xhp
And I used the beat the living crap out of it and never had a issue

I wonder if my m2 will have major problems
I was on stage 1 on bm3 and I flashed back to stock tune but it's the cel fix so I won't have a check engine light

Is been extremely hot these past couple of days in SoCal so I been just taking it easy and just cruising

Plan is to baby this one tho

Occasionally track 1 or twice a year
But this is my baby
