Have ED set up for pick up in April. Based on this thread I'll be getting an MY2020? Hope the price doesn't jump too much and perhaps we can finally get the CF roof as a factory option?

My dealer called me about my buyer's agreement and pending allocation and he simply confirmed what everyone already knows. He said my car will be a 2020, but he doesn't know what, if any, price increase there will be.

He did say that it appears that the car isn't changing, at all, for 2020 and that it looks like CS is coming.

Hey all, new to the forum!

following thread closely, appreciate all the info everyone has posted. I put a deposit down for a March build euro delivery back in November (planning to take my dad for his bday to the Welt to pick up the car and take him around the Nurburgring via black forest, etc).

My dealer alerted me to the stop in production and the change in allocations to MY2020 for builds starting in ?march?. Fingers crossed I can still get a car in March although don't know how realistic it is. Have LBB 6MT w/exec and sunroof ordered, after looking at pics think I might have to change to orange stitching. Keep wanting to change to HS but think I've gotta stick it out with the blue. I drove an M2 and it was incredible so I can only imagine the M2C.

Side note: they accidentally put my original allocation into production and the car was made and delivered. I got to sit in it and start it up at the dealer. Took every ounce of willpower to not buy it on the spot!

Cheers and hope everyone who's received their car is enjoying it!

That's exciting news seeing as I have a deposit placed for May 2019 ED! Has your dealer confirmed/denied ED? Its a pretty big purchase point for me and if its not offered I might back out, so I'm trying to get as much information as possible.

Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately it seems they are kind of in the dark as well, but they didn't think Euro delivery would be an issue. It's also a dealbreaker for me if they can't offer it, so we will see. I'll let you know if I hear anything!

I saw an internal sheet here on the forums, I believe "F87 CS" was the internal code BMW used for the M2 competition. I almost got this as my license plate....

I don't think they leave the car sitting around at the Welt for an extended period of time (vs. South Carolina where it can sit for a month or two in my experience).

So I would say if you have a confirmed delivery in May for a M2, it will be a 2020.

For everyone else, this is a model change over with very little changing (tail lights - MAYBE). The line MIGHT be down for a day, but it might not be down at all. There is no real "stoppage" in production.

Has anyone had any confirmation that the allocations will indeed be starting back up in February?

Based on my CA and emails I've seen from BMW to my advisor, the next round of allocations will be released in February for March 2019 production - which will be for MY2020 builds. Questions that remain are when in February and how many allocations to expect.... ugh!

I remember you mentioned in another post that you placed deposit with BMW NW, right?

I haven't heard any from BMW Seattle yet. Did they mention any price increase?

I would guess it should be minimal? But still glad I got my order placed in January. The tracker says it entered the production queue two days ago

That's the exact same information I am hiring from my SA. I'm first on the list and will be getting a March build delivery in late April/early May. I could have gotten a October build last year, but didn't want December delivery in the Midwest. He also told me there was 1 2019 allocation left in the US but they could not trade for it. I won't have taken it anyway with 2020's come out this soon. I'm also waiting to see if there will be different color choices as I'm wavering between Hockenheim and Sunset Orange currently and would prefer a darker gray.

Hmm, interesting that's there's one left. I wonder which dealer and where it is...

Which dealership are you working with?

Good luck!

I'm going though Bill Jacobs in Naperville, Il. Not sure what dealer had the allocation or the specs on it. Are you looking for an open allocation? I've had a deposit down since last Summer on mine.

Just heard from my SA, 2020 builds can go into the order bank. No adds on the model other than port installed gold rims and no change in color options. Now to finalize my order and get it in the order bank!
