I love my M240i... but want an M2 CP.

Only thing holding me back is the suspension harshness... my M240i adaptive suspension is perfect for our roads...

Is there any way to make the M2 CP softer?

Roads around me are terrible... coblestone and lots lots of cracks.

Thanks!
JC

I think it is kind of funny how much people complain about the suspension harshness on the M2C, I love it personally, and it is a lot softer and higher than my E90 on H&R Sport + Bilstein B8s on 17s was. Like you said though, can't fit 18s, so realistically, no there is nothing you can do. If you prefer smoothness and comfort, probably stick with the M240.

You could get the KW DDC coilovers.

If you do, let me know how they are. I've been eyeballing them for a while.

Note that he's talking about the suspension harshness on an - as yet - unreleased model.

Given this level of precognition, we should be asking him about the precise specification, prices, and future upgrades to address said suspension harshness...

The M2 Competition or CP is unreleased?

I must live in the future.

I really think something has to be wrong with the suspension development on this F8X models, I have driven much more quicker cars on paper and the suspension harshness is not even close.

Any other helpful comments on getting a better suspension?

Sorry guys... meant M2C.

On the 3/4 series M models its refered as CP.

OP, if you can spend 5k contact DSCsport and ask them for cost of Tractive suspension for the M2c.

It will be more comfortable than stock m240 with EDC.

The cheaper route is do what another member Jetbill did by installing F8x m4/m4 EDC suspension to his m2 with the DSC controller. I believe he is still looking to sell the controller in the classifieds as he sold the car.

Hope that helps.

To be honest, air suspension will not make the ride any more compliant on current generation cars compared to OEM or even quality coilovers.

Pls read this thread on m3post...

Although the M2C suspension is certainly stiff, I have never found it to be harsh.

The suspension is well damped and has real fluency at speed, as one sports car journalist aptly stated.

If you’re concerned about the suspension stiffness, because of local road conditions “around” wherever you drive, you may already be driving the perfect sports coupe.

Replace the stock suspension with M performance coilovers. Lets you corner as it should be from factory AND more compliant than stock on good streets! 👍🏼
