M2C WATER radiator damage
So I have had my M2C for a little over 2 weeks and 1700km and I have already had a bunch of fins on the WATER rads bent.
1) Is anybody else experiencing this? 2) How do you fix this? 3) Any trackday solutions? Im thinking of getting some mosquito netting and taping it onto the car with blue painters tape for the day to try and prevent avoid the worst of it. Edit to clarify I am referring to the water rads not the oil rad. Last edited by Megator; 08-06-2019 at 04:23 AM.. |

Lots of threads on this topic in the M2C section, with quite a few guys already loosing oil through oil cooler damage.
The real solution is this. May be worth the price given how fragile and exposed the oil cooler is. https://europeanautosource.com/fall-...w-f87-m2c.html

I should have been clearer, I am referring to the water radiators not the oil radiator.
The oil rad issue is well known from F80-F83 cars. The M2C has much larger and open water radiator mesh grills than the F80-F83s. Check the new M2C racing it has extra mesh ahead of the water rads. |

Doh, it’s even in the title. Sorry my bad. No clue about ways to protect the Rad. I usually just assume bent vent fins are normal.
