The remus sport and AC Schnitzer are similar.
For an OPF car what would be the difference in sound between Remus race with opf in place and Remus sport with AA midpipe ?

The one with the midpipe will have a deeper tone and the single pipe will eliminate any rasp

REMUS M2 Competition Sport Exhaust

Hey Everyone,

I had some extra time to weigh the components of the Sport system. The weight difference between the race and Sport is about 8lbs before tips are added.

I also weighed and included the Front Silencer Replacement Tubes for the full system that we offer from the secondary cats back and still 100% legal in the US as the primary and secondary cats remain in place. For those in California it would also be compliant as far as emissions go.

I would be curious to see what the weight is for the stock axle back section and the front silencer as they are both pretty bulky. Would be nice to see the weight savings between the two.

We are now offering both the Race and Sport versions along with the silencer replacement tubes. We are running a special though the month of August so please hit up your favorite REMUS dealer for pricing and info.

Axle Back Sport System w/out Tips- 38.5lbs

W/0046 70CS Tips- 42.5lbs

W/0046 70S Tips - 46.5lbs

W/0046 70SG Tips - 45.5lbs

W/0046 98C Tips - 46.5lbs

W/0046 98CB Tips - 46.5lbs

Additional Front Silencer Replacement Tubes

7.5lbs

Shows how much I know I guess!!

Thanks for this RemusUSA!

One question though.... The pic suggests 38.5lbs for the sport system but you quoted 29.5lbs without tips. Which one is accurate?

Welp, Got the Remus SPORT installed.... F*&&*ing WOW!!

Just what I was looking for:
  • No more dangling butt /hernia of exhaust
  • Quiet when in efficient or valves closed (Almost stock like)
  • NASTY when in full throttle, valves open!! It's deep, it's aggressive, but not overly aggressive that is annoying.
  • Zero Drone thus far

I ordered the 102mm tips (angled), and painted them myself with 1200F matte black paint.

Sounds just awesome, man!

Do you maybe have another vid right behind the car, when reving it up? So without driving away.

Now that California rolled back the new exhaust law, I'm planning to put my AA midpipe back on in a month or so. Really curious how it will sound with Remus Sport. I previously paireeit with Remus Race so hopefully I'll have some nice comparison videos to share

Curious if you've put the AA midpipe back on with the Sport exhaust. I may be looking for an early Christmas gift for myself.

I'm still hoping to hear an example of Sport/Race in person, but was wondering if you could comment on your decision to ultimately go with Remus Sport, versus other slip-ons (e.g., Akrapovic)?

I had Remus Race paired with AA midpipe and it was really loud (for me). Remus Race muffler (which I wouldn't even really consider as a muffler) is pretty free flowing but does very little to keep the volume down even when the valves are closed (but again, I tried it with AA midpipe). Remus Sport has true muffler to keep the sound level down ( it is approved in EU market). Remus Sport also has built-in resonators on the outer pipes that come out of the muffler, which also contributes to a deeper but milder tone compared to Remus Race. I absolutely love my Remus Sport and will pair it again with AA midpipe. Only other exhaust I would choose over Remus is Akrapovic mainly because of the significant weight savings but it's ridiculously expensive and I find it a bit too raspy honestly.

Remus looks to be a really nice system, but the tips are huge!!! Any options for smaller tips?
