I have a BSM M2 on order but won't see it until Feb/march 2017 - I would like to know the best there is in terms of paint protection etc. From what I've read throughout the forums here that seems to be Xpel Ultimate and nanolex Si3d. Is that an accurate statement?

What are your thoughts on 3m's product as that is available from I guy I know well but don't want to use an inferior product. Thanks for your comments.

I have Menzerna SF 4500 and apply it with the light blue uber foam pad. I am expecting a really high gloss but don't notice much of a difference over M205. Is there a trick to getting the paint to pop?

Yas Marina Blue F80 M3. Paint is in pretty much flawless condition. I was using speed 4 on a griots DA. It came out very nice but I was expecting a lot more shine compared to 205.

I've wrapped the bumpers and bonnet with Xpel Ultimate by an authorized installer.

The installer said I should come back after about a week to remove any bubbles and apply "sealer" to the film.
I told him I am planning on coating the car with CQuarts Ceramic Paint protection.
He then said that if I am planning on having CQuarts applied to the film as well then I don't need the sealer since CQuarts is stronger.

My question is, what is this sealer he is referring to and is the CQuarts an adequate substitute?

Thanks

I have a LBB M2 being delivered next month. I am keeping the car forever and it will be my daily. What's the best option to keep the car in tip top shop as far as wrapping and paint protection?

you won't need the sealer if you have the coating, the coating will be stronger.

if you can afford to wrap the complete car, I have my M2 and that is what I'm probably going to do wrap it and coat it and your done, no more swirls or paint issues from day one.

I shopped around in my area. It's $4k. I can't do that right now but definitely will before the winter. What's the next best thing?

The 1st time I washed my car I used an existing wheel brush from the parts store and as result I have some scratches on the wheels. Can I use the same polishing compounds I would on the rest of the car? What do you recommend??

Detailers Domain are the pro's so their answer is more important than mine but I wouldn't use compound on a new car. Probably should do some serious research and learn techniques and product selection before you start going at a brand new paint job. I have been an amateur detailer for about 10 years, its fairly easy to do this stuff right if you have patience and are willing to learn and do some research.

Just realized you were talking about using the compound on the wheels (same as you would paint). Personally I would use the most gentle polish I could find. Interested to see what the Pro's say. I would also put ceramic coating on them to protect them just bought Gyeon from Detailers Domain. Now I just need a car to put it on.

Hey DetailersDomain, would it work if you spaced the entire car wrap in Xpel Ultimate and the Coating a year apart?

As in, wrap the entire car in Xpel and then a year later coat it? Would there be a drawback in that? I'm asking cause over the year, I'm assuming there would be knicks and scratches on the wrap, even though it's self healing?

It's so darn expensive to do full wrap and coating in one go....

not really a draw back but I will do the complete car and then install the Nanolex on it. no point in waiting a year. I have not seen a drawback yet.

What would you put on a Sprinter Van that sits outside all year and needs a bulk application method to protect paint from pitch and birds? I'm not hand rubbing wax on this thing 3 times a year
