What's the deal with install though? Do I need to go through a physical store affiliated to them or can everything be done remotely? There's a local tuner that supports them, but like 90% of shops around EU, they're only listed as proficient with N55 engines Hard to trust the work of a tuner that doesn't have certified proficiency with an engine... |

Weird I just got an email back from a tuner that handles ecutek for the S55 and according to them their is no current tune for the S55??
"The actual tunes requires time to develop and since the vehicles are still new, there is currently no time frame just yet." I attached the front page and all. I'm located in the bay area. |

Across the pond it looks like Litchfield does some good work and imo makes sense going with them if you live over there. I can only ever recommend to do your own research...know what you want out of a tune and communicate with the tuner prior to making a decision to purchase. Also keep in mind that some of the best tuners are not instagram/facebook posters and generally rely on word of mouth. A second thought...if you are just the guy who wants a quick one time flash and wants to play around with burbles then the BM3 gang is probably your best bet. If you want something more professional and custom along with true flex fuel support then Ecutek will be a better decision imo.

I think the only tuner in my area is Boost Logic.
Unfortunately they don't have a great reputation when it comes to work quality. I'm stuck with flash tunes... And by that, I mean I'm totally fucked because I can't flash my car and the only thing any tuner gives a fuck about right now is making a high number Supra. |

Wow perfect timing! Looks like ecutek it is. Can anyone point out advantage/disadvantage to bm3 or bpm?

There's really no comparison and Ecutek is just on Phase 1.

Two step no... but factory LC logic yes! First in the world done by yours truly using factory table definitions
I'm sure true 2 step with more boost built on launch will be available in newer phases of RaceRom

How would this work? Anytime you are in first gear with the clutch pressed in and you mash the throttle it holds rpm? Then just clutch drop it?

If interested send a PM and I can link you to a video. It works the same exact way as DCT, so you can use the cruise buttons to raise or lower launch RPM. I haven’t coded in the LC flag to show up on the display but should be easy to do. |

cookiesowns regardless if it is the right or wrong way the takeaway is that you altered/programmed the factory logic to do what you wanted, and that in itself is awesome.

OBD Unlock I haven't checked the status and I would encourage you to contact Ecutek directly.
